I know this was an old debate, there was an old topic asking this, and it got lost. I was sad to see it dissapear as i find watching poeple debate the topic quite interesting.
So this topic is say whether you support Capitilism or Socialism, this does not have to mean pure capitalism or socialism, it could simply mean what side do you lean towards.
When stating what you support, please state why you feel that way don't just write 'Socialism ftw' or something similar.
I myself will keep out of it for the moment and hope that this topic actually stays alive.
Socialism is Naziism! Obama should not be president because he is a socialist and therefore a Nazi. Would you want Hitler as your president? No! Impeach that Obama guy now, before he puts Jackie Mason in a concentration camp!

Capitalism to me means that I am free to start up a business out of my garage, etc., work really hard, envest my profits carefully and hopefully retire someday without the fear of having to decide whether or I can afford to keep the lights on.

Its too hard to even approach this conversation when everyone's definition of socialism has been eroded by over a century of anti-communist propaganda and hysteria.
