While poking through a couple games that contained ads, I decided to finally click on the ads that are always on the right-hand side of your profile. This brought me up to what seemed to be a public domain, not formally bought yet by an interested customer. Do websites still gain income from public domains, even though they really aren't an ownership of a party?
Why not? As long as the word 'add' is used, I assume the word 'money' comes alongside every time! And even though it's a public domain, it's still thought up by someone and upheld by that person, who will (undoubtedly) will have to pay to get his website shown on other websites... right? :S
Some of the time the ad's are created by certain companies that just rotate through their ads (Google AdSense for example). This means that sometimes the ads that you see may not actually be for anything, yet the company is still having to pay to show it.

I think the owner of the domain, in other words maybe the government... to get an ad shown, you need to pay, so guess YOU are paying for the ads! LOL =D
