I would say airsoft, if you enjoy playing Call of Duty or Medal of Honor or realistic 1st person shooters then yeah, airsoft. And yes it is a sport just not quite as popular as it's 'better' counterpart, paintball
oh and not trying to be a mr. smarty pants but thats usually the last reason they fight in ice hockey lol. its usually to get a certain player off the ice, for example.
Might I also add, that you have 200-300 pound guys with sticks and blades. So when tempers flare, they don`t want them to use any of those. Better to allow them to turn the tide of the game or to release steam with bare knuckles for a few minuets then it is trying to break up a brawl with sticks and skates.
I don't really understand why people look for incidental violence in their sports when all things like ice skates and a hundred pounds of plastic do is make players look like poorly-controlled marionettes feeling each other up. If you're looking for a real fight, 'sports' like MMA (UFC) are all about it. And despite its brutal image, the injury rate from UFC is one third that of boxing, because boxing gloves don't make an impact softer, they make them heavier and the hands less sensitive, meaning you can bash somebody in the head harder and more times. That's also why boxing has fatalities, and as far as I know, UFC doesn't.
In fact, I have a suggestion to get rid of all pretenses. It's a game I've invented myself, called Warball, since team sports is essentially an analogy for war. The rules in warball are simple: you have a standard ball, a standard rectangular field and two pre-arranged teams occupying each side. The goal is for one team to get that ball past the end of the field of the other team. Play starts with the ball in the middle and ends when the ball goes out one end of the field. Destroying the ball results in immediate disqualification of the team responsible. There are no other rules.
Unfortunately, nobody has agreed to play a game with me just yet =|
Chess is good. Call me a nerd if you want because well... I pretty much am... I'm the smartest kid in my school.
Anyway! Chess requires a lot of thinking... unlike most sports. It also has simpler rules, scoring, and a better system on who you play in a tournament.

ha ah ha. no thinking in alot of sports. like what? you need to think up about 500 plays to be a good NFL team and then you have to remember them all. Even in NASCAR you have to calculate how far you will drive on one tank of fuel. There is no "gas gauge." And if you ask me chess isn't even a sport
Ice hockey is my favourite. Chess by the way, doesn't require too much strategy, just simple logic. Ice hockey has a whole lot more thinking to it and you need quick reactions.
Sorry for the double post. I voted twice but my second one was for a sport called Dagohir. It is a sport where basically you dress up like medieval people and beat teh crap out of each other with foam covered PVC. It is one of the best sports ever.
Ice hockey is by far my favorite. It's quite fast paced, and it takes a while to be able to figure out the finer points. And there's fights, which are good from time to time.
My other favorite is Suicide Bombing. It's so much fun to watch. I'm a spectator though. Never been into playing it much.
