I love my PC and I have some games for it that I like to play. The only problem is every time a new game comes out you have to upgrade your computer. I can't play games like Starcraft 2, Dawn of War 2 and Command and Conquer 4 without buying stuff to play these games.
How is PC gaming so successful? Also, is there a way to upgrade your RAM because some games I can't play because I only have like 956 mb of RAM.
Luckily for you RAM is the easiest of all to upgrade. If you have an open slot and know what kind of RAM is good for your computer you can just buy a chip/card and plug it in.
The reason the games require more and more is because of how fast computer power increases, I think it doubles every 18 months or something like that.
Anyway, just listen to what Moe said. If you haven't ever opened the casing of your PC, you should read some more information about this or ask someone more knowledgeable to add the RAM for you.

The best way to have your computer last longer is to buy the best one you can afford, or build your own computer (with the best available parts of course). That way, you won't have to upgrade it as often.
If you have an open slot
You can check if you have an open slot by opening your PC up, or you can download some software to check it for you.

Better than buying one new console every 7 years. That is if you can get one when it comes out. Oh, and not to mention the waste of space. I think it takes what... 80 bucks once a new console comes out to already play in its range, and another 60 to play faster than it? Oh no, PC's are totally worse than consoles.
Yes. As technology evolves, gadgets become obsolete faster and faster. If you are really worried about the price of upgrading over and over get a console. Early, in its lifespan.

Not necessarily, if you start out with the highest specifications you won't have to upgrade every single time. Ideally, you would get a hardware (graphics cards, etc.) as soon as it is released to maximize the time you can go without upgrading.
If an actual game company put viruses on their games, they could be massively sued. By everyone who bought their game. There would be no way to get out of the red. But if you want to play online games not paid for, yeah, you could just use virus blocker.
Unless you spend a few thousand dollars on a pc it will be obsolete by the time you first turn it on, literally. The difference between a [gaming] console and a pc is that a [gaming] console (for the most part) is purely for gaming, where as a pc is more of a jack of all trades.

Even when the computer's in the store, it is already obsolete. They just don't drop computers with older hardware, cause the higher spec ones are expensive.
On the other hand, if you have an old computer there are plenty of older, discounted games to play. A game worth $40+ when it came out will be half that price in about 3 years.
