In this ever growing world it is inevitable that technology will affect how we carry out our daily lives. Now, at the click of a button we can order our dinner, clothes, anything you could ever imagine, all from the comfort of your dimly lit basement suite. I mean house. But where does one draw the line? Where does it change from convenience, to just outright odd?

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that you should hate everyone on the internet, just how far is too far? Sure, I even know some people who originally met over the internet and are now dating, and good on them, but I just can't seem to grasp it. Of course, there are many different levels of internet relationships. Maybe you got to talking to a friend of a friend on Facebook, and you two decided to meet up. Maybe you signed up for an online dating site, in order to meet new people, whatever it may be, what are your opinions on it?

In general, I find it a little out of the norm, but not that extensively crazy. Even if the people use a dating site to meet (which I personally would never use) at least they meet and get to know each other in real life. What I just can't wrap my head around though, are people who date solely on the internet. They have never met their "boyfriend/girlfriend" yet talk about them as if they know them better than anyone in the world. Am I the only one who finds this totally insane? I mean, you have no idea who it is you're really talking to, yet somehow this doesn't bother you? I just fail to grasp it. How can you claim to love someone you know absolutely nothing about. That's right, nothing. No matter what they tell you, you will never know a single thing about them unless you meet them. Am I alone, or do others feel that this is just going too far?

Internet relationships aren't for kids. They are for adults. It has nothing to do with maturity (ok, maybe a little), but online relationships almost always fail unless the two people chatting eventually meet.

If you don't plan on meeting that person for a while, don't "date" them. It's pointless. Now if you become good friends and you both get a car and can drive anywhere between half a state to half a nation, then go for it!

Intervention time. Her "best" friend kissed her, and she talked about it online with him. Let's face it, if they knew each other in person, they surely wouldn't have talked about it on an open website such as AG. It's also odd how that friend seemed to only come back after I deleted his comments. Oh wait, wasn't it her friend who said she liked you?! Why would he tell you that if he liked her?

As far as I know, you haven't seen any pictures of her. Maybe you have seen one or two, but how do you know she isn't using someone else's pictures? It's not hard to do. If you have seen more than one picture of her, were they all taken one after the other? Does she have a myspace? Who are her other friends? Have you talked to each other over the phone? Have you chatted over cam? The reason why you want to get her AIM or MSN is because it's fairly rare for people to lie over those messengers.

As far as I am concerned, she be trollin'. You need to start investigating some. Asking if she is telling the truth, by the way, is not the proper way to investigate. In fact, if she really was crazy for you, she would easily give you some evidence other than her word.

You won't be able to fall asleep tonight after reading my post, I'm sure. Try reading a book, those always make me sleepy right before bed time (3AM).

Check his profile. Me and him went over this many many times.

I was there too Skater along with saying mostly everyone on here is who they claim to be. But sure Ernie could still be a woman, who molestes children online.

No, it was made to comment on these types that go on here and other sites, and yours is an example.

Everything you said basically is what I and Skater told him NoName.
Also he trusts everything she says cause she told him I would never lie to you. How though do you tell if they mean that over the interenet?

WOAH! You caught me red handed. I obviously made this generic topic on which I felt warranted a conversation solely as a means of attacking you and a situation you may or may not be involved in at the moment. How did you guess? And before you ask, yes, I put the numbers at the end of my name as a means of ridiculing your difficulty with math. Grow up kid, the world doesn't revolve around you, nobody cares about your "girlfriend". Also, If all that you have said in this thread is true, that is well and truly pathetic.

If it's 3am and you can't fall asleep you have some serious issues. I don't think it's healthy to go that long without sleep. Unless you hake up at like noon every day.

Wait, she said she would never lie to him? Well, if she said that... she must be telling the truth.

This topic is getting too... personal? That word works.

I won't lie to you guys. You can trust me when I say that I won't lock this thread, because I told you I wasn't going to lie to you guys.
