i went to gamestop to sell battlefield bad company for halo three. they were only willing to give a cheap amount of 10 dollars... i actuallyy feel betrayed by one of my best stores and my friend was also willing to sell his psp and were only going to give him 15-20 bucks.. how cheap.
This is totally true. I have tried to sell used games to them, and in return I receive about $25 for something I paid $50-60 on.
But hey, you might as well sell an old video game that nobody wants for something. It's better than nothing.
Also, let's say you have a DS, the first version and the new Dsi just came out, and yo would like to return that DS.
The reason why they give you so little money in return is because a new version is out. They say that why would people pay for a used, older version, when they could buy the new, newer version.
game stop is not a rip off!!!!! i traded in my modern warfare 2 in and i got 42 bucks!!!!!!
Because Modern Warfare 2 is still in demand... I still see copies for practically full price in the stores I visit.
By the way... Have any of you tried to get a game from them, a new one, and they try and sell you one with an opened box and a scratched disk, and expect full price?
If you want good games, just go to BestBuy. And if you want to sell your games, go with EBay. Don't bother with GameStop. They're nothing but rubbish. And you would have gotten $10 off 1 game? Wow. That's better than my deal. I tried to sell them 12 PS2 games of mine and I would have got $7. One of those, I found on EBay, was going for 50 bucks easy. Another for $30. That's why I never go to GameStop unless I want to get a new subscription to GameInformer. Oh yeah, they suck too now. I paid them for a 2 year subscription 3 months ago. I've gotten 1 issue and that was the crappy Micky Mouse one. So yeah, don't bother with GameStop.
