im not sure if we should put this here or in the world events forum,so mods, feel free to move it
i think we will become smaller in scale, and also abit more brainier. my friend thinks we might evolve to look like grey matter in ben 10 lol,but i think its a matter of luck over what conditions we will face, who we give birth to,what we do,and what we need, some sort of ultimate gamble lol
I doubt any of us will have any hair in 1 million years, assuming we're not yet extinct. We started out covered in it, but we don't have very much now. It grows everywhere on our skin except for our palms and the bottoms of our feet, but it sure doesn't grow quickly.
I don't think we will completely lose our hair. It still has an aesthetic value. In the past hair was used to isolate our bodies but now it is just used to make us look good. A feature just looking good can be enough to allow it to stay around.
well ,seeing as science sorta debuncked the theory of evolution, it is kinda irrelavent to disscus this topic.
What bs creationist site did you get that lie from?
In order for evolution to occur the weak need to die and the strong need to thrive.
No the weak don't need to die just not pass there traits on. Also what's do we call weak these days? Physical strength isn't as important to our species as it once was.
hmm i believe that we wont evolve much more before the world ends. I dont believe the world will end in 2012 but i think its wont be too far after that. according to the bible earthquakes will occur before the end of the world and thats just about all that has been on the new but yeah whatever i dont care when or how i die...
Mabey we would loose are wisdom teeth. Then no more pain for pulling them out!
1) Hmm...for this to happen, we will have to continuously mate with those that either don't get wisdom teeth, or those that get small ones. Overtime (a LOOONG time), those that keep reproducing by the same circumstances will conceive children that will no longer get any wisdom teeth at all.
2) We can also take this in a different perspective. Humans' jaws are too small to hold the wisdom teeth in as well, which is why it is common to have impacted teeth in the back of our jaw (myself included). If we continuously mate with those that have wide jawlines and consecutively reproduce under the same circumstances, children conceived will have big enough jawlines to correctly hold the wisdom teeth in place to where it will not cause any impaction.
In my opinion the word weak doesn't really apply for human beings. If we look at it more logically, an emaciated person wise enough to hunt for his own food is much more likely to survive than a brawny person who can't.
It more or less depends on the way we adapt to our surroundings, whether we be weak or strong. Take for instance the case of Neanderthals, they were more muscular, larger and even had a larger brain. Humans and the Neanderthals were both evolutions of the Homo Erectus. However, it is the Homo Sapiens (A.K.A us) who still live on. The Neanderthals are long extinct.
By the way,
Or float, if you're fat.
You float even if you're thin as long as you've filled your lungs with air (lol).
''We found that natural selection is acting to cause slow, gradual evolutionary change. The descendents of these women are predicted to be on average slightly shorter and stouter, to have lower total cholesterol levels and systolic blood pressure, to have their first child earlier, and to reach menopause later than they would in the absence of evolution. Selection is tending to lengthen the reproductive period at both ends.''
