What is evolution for you? (please no copying out of dictionaries or investigating before you post)
I will not argue against them because what you think is what you think.

There are definitions of the word. So you can't just say something else. If you want to, then you have to call it different

There only is one main definition of evolution. You can't exactly twist it's definition to one that suits yourself. And also, you don't think what evolution is. It's not supported by beliefs, only evidence.

I think what he's asking is what do we think the definition is. Considering the huge misconceptions it might be interesting to see what people say.

My answer in a nutshell is genetic changes in a species over generations. That's the most basic answer I can give.

The strongest surviving is exactly what it is, over millions of years what ever traits keeps an organism alive stay in tact and ones that don't die. If you isolated a group off dogs on an island and had food that you had to jump or be tall to get at, and made that food get higher and higher gradually over a million of years the dogs could look like a gerafe or a dog that could jump really high. this is just an example.

There is no ,''what is *insert scientific theory X here* for you''. It is a well defined theory. You obviously have access to the internet, so I don't see why anyone should spoon feed you definitions you could obtain pretty easily.

Unless of course you are talking about whether you believe in evolution from atheistic or theistic point of view and why? If so, I apologise, but it seems from the wording you are asking the first question.

investigating before you post

you want us to BS an answer so you can watch your thread grow?

well here is evolution in a nut shell.
So basically we were all fish, swimming around in our own poop and drinking the same water we pee. then one day a couple of fish have a retarded fish baby, and since it was different, it got to live. The retarded fish makes more retarded fish babies and then one day a retarded fish crawls out on land with mutant fish hands, and has B*tt S*x with a squirrel and makes a retarded fish-squirrel. and the retarded baby was a monkey fish frog, and the monkey fish frog had a baby which screwed a monkey which made a retarded mutant baby and that screwed another monkey, and the outcome is the human race. We are the retarded offspring of five monkeys having b**t s** with a fish-squirrel. Congratulations.

Evolution is just a hypothesis to me. That's what I believe it is, something that can't be proven and isn't true.

Well, you're utterly wrong. Until you accept the fact that evolution is a theory, you won't be able to garner any sort of respect or credibility when debating evolution. Evolution, at least on a small scale, was proven to happen - natural selection. And natural selection is just a reductionist way to look at macroevolution. So in a way, evolution itself has been proven. It's very, very far from a hypothesis, and if you don't know that, you have no place debating evolution.

If you don't mind my asking, what about all the proof behind the theory of evolution?

Agreed and never will be.

You tell me.

My answer is basically the same as MageGreyWolf's: genetic alterations occurring over time for the benefit and success of a species.

Awesome South Park reference, DDX. :P

Lol, this made me smile. I was banned for one of the discussions that I had with a player over our evolution/non-evolution chat in the other locked forum. Moe, you have yet to give me a reliable source of your proof.
I'm sorry for that mistake, by definition evolution is a theory, I don't agree with it, and I won't ever agree with it. I'm open in most cases to about everything, but not that all creatures evolved.

So basically even if we did bother to offer you the evidence you would just disregard it?

I'm not the one ignoring the proof.

Moe, you have yet to give me a reliable source of your proof.
