Might of actually been found.
In this video, a student was called a loser by her teacher numerous times.
Seems like for no reason

Maybe she is a loser. We can't all be perfect students. Believe me, I know.

Try teaching 6th graders for twelve years and constantly being put at wits end, she may have reminded the teacher of a student he did not like, and was taking out his frustrations. Its just what happens when people lack the willpower to stick to their principles (no pun intended) and keep themselves from becoming "that teacher"

Why would a teacher tell such a cute pretty little girl a "loser", now that's just not right, i'd take her head and smash it to a titanium steel pipe and then throw her to a toxic nuclear waste dump.

When I was in 5th grade, my teacher literally threw me into a trash can. Twice. It was funny... kind of.

I don't really see what the big deal about being called a loser is.

There's probably a reason for it.

Not so long ago, maybe 30 years ago, teachers could readily smack you with a leather strap or belt. You misbehave, you get the consequences.

Although calling a student a loser through the papers is rather a stupid way to go about it. Rather cowardice, too.

1) The fact that the teacher gave a negative percentage on a test makes me believe that the teacher is 'stupid' for a lack of better terms. If you got every question wrong on a test, you would get a 0. Where's the rest of the wrong answers? Was this student wrong to begin with? This teacher is the definition of fail.

2) You cannot single out one student amongst several others. Otherwise, it is indeed bullying, as was relayed in this video. I only wished that the video would have pointed out exactly why the teacher wrote down 'loser' all over the child's paper so that I could be able to further debunk this poor-quality teacher. You would sully a child's test, something that she worked on really hard to show you what she learned, only to throw it back in her face? YOU are the real loser.

My opinion? The teacher should be fired, and maybe even fined for abusing the child. Any teacher can replace this 'child' and be significantly better.

To me, the view of teachers is honorable, patient, and wise. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of some (cough), but the single fact that these people would take their own time to pass on to the students of what they learned so that they could attain their own future is quite admirable. It is the fact that some would result to bullying, especially for no reason at all, that my view of them has been shamed.

Sometimes teachers take points off for leaving your name off the paper. If you get every question wrong, and you don't leave your name, you get a negative score.

I saw that on yahoo when I was checking my email. I think this is just plain wrong, what if the person really isn't a looser.

So he in turn converts 20% of the entire test based off leaving the name slot blank? It constitutes nothing! There should be no reason to be so strict to students that are so young. Not even the highest colleges go to such extreme measures!

And another thing: You threw the kid's pencil box down a hallway?? Are you freaking insane? Should you be put in jail or an asylum for your reckless behavior? For the several years you've been teaching there, I think you've been needing to go to either one for a long time.

My college English profesor has given -25 on essays before, not mine but I know he has. He likes to say he's a tough grader and if you do what you're exposed to do you'll get a C. Maybe the harder methods work better in the long run.

But, I'm still trying to figure out the pencil box one, and you'd think a teacher could be a bit more articulate then calling a 12 year old a looser, seems like petty name calling to me. If he wants to critise the students for doing something wrong then fine I guess but at least be a little clearer then calling them a "looser".

Meh University profs can't teach and some of them are just ____ . I swear university's just hire them on their ability to do research.

In one of my MACM class my prof showed us a graph ranging 3 years. At first only 80 took the class and about only 40 passed. Then 150 people took it and like 60 people passed. Then a graph of last year where 300 people took it and again 140 passed. The average for the class was pretty much the same %45. Is it really that hard to make test that average out to a pass?

How a student performs reflects the ability of how the teacher is doing. For him to just undermine one student out of the rest of the class just infuriates me. Do not take whatever constitutes your 'anger' out on your students, especially just one; take it out on yourself for being such a jerk to her.

You cannot lose points that you have already EARNED for one essay that was not so well. That is such a pissy way of doing a job. The entirety of a teacher's job is to pass on what you have learned on to the next generation, guiding them to the many elements of knowledge and helping them succeed by correctly teaching them. By revoking the points that they have rightly earned, undermining them, and *snickers* throwing their pencil boxes across the hallway, you are hurting this process. Now I understand why some school corporations require teachers to take teacher classes every period of years. It is not only to further expand their knowledge of what to teach, but HOW to teach.

The HOW is much more important than the WHAT, because the methods of teaching determines the outcome of students' futures.

He counts off for every error though before we turn in essays he makes sure we revise and edit them and he's more than willing to help us with our revision and editing so I won't blame him for counting off even into the negative when he's more than willing to help us get a C (if we do the assignment to the letter) or higher (above and beyond). I got a B in there last semester, but he is a published author and does know a lot more about what he's talking about then any of my old high school teachers.
