Everybody talks about faith. Why do they pick God, or what ever they worship? Is it because they want an answer? Is it because God visits them? I thought it came from the parents, but I see people who's parents dont believe in god but the child does. Is it cause they'll burn in hell if they don't worship it?

They were exposed to evangalists at an early age, and as a child, began to worship a deity without knowing any better. At least some of them were.

You shouldn't.
Unless you think it is good for you.
Yes, it depends on you alone and not on the brainwashing imposed by clerics.
Anyway, my opinion is that you shouldn't belive blindly what others tell you; be inquisitive, find your answers and never settle down for an answer like: "Because so we belive".

Seriously, stop making these threads.

Here, let me finish this argument for all of you who have a problem with religion.

Why shouldn't I believe in a god?

"Because there is no proof."

Ok, but that doesn't explain why I shouldn't beleive in a god.

"You shouldn't beleive in something that has no proof."

1. Why shouldn't I?
2. The fact that the religion exists is proof enough for me.

"But the existance of religion isn't valid evidence and you shouldn't believe in God because it's stupid to beleive in something that you can't prove exists."

I believe that God remains anonymous and interacts with the world in only the most subtle of ways. But why shouldn't I believe in God? Does it make me a bad person?

"It could."

Then challenge my individual views, not my whole faith.

Oh cool! Now you're open to debate about homosexuality, slavery, murder, what truly is right and wrong, drugs, sex, marraige, and so on.
