Clearly the image won't show.
Sorry for the double post.

Because it's in Unix time and there's a glitch somewhere. It comes and goes and has been doing this for years.

I don't know what is Unix time, but can't it be fixed?
I don't think it is dangerous, but the prewiew of the forum is useful.

The thing you must understand:

The AG clock is messed up. It is noticeable the most by the leaderboard, but this is also an example.

But I think the contributing factor is that the clock doesn't see the most recent posts sometimes. An example is that I just saw my Science Forum was the most recently posted in the SS (A week ago). The clock seems to have somehow missed the posts after it.

The bug comes and goes pretty fast, and the AG clock never reliable.
but after a while (I think after someone posts in that forum) it could go away,

Yes, I see it too, must be because when a post is submitted, the clock is automatically updated and informed, and should be accurate for a bit. But then the glitch comes and messes stuff up again.

I have seen that before, and I was like um, what is that? But I figured out that that happens all the time with the clock.

Yea. That's happened to me a lot. It's weird, but I have not had a 40 years one. I've only had a 2 year one.

This same thing happened to me too. And another time I made a new post in the programmer's forum area and it just wouldn't show up in the most recently posted area. It wasn't a big deal but then again, my post wasn't being seen.

That's nothing! Sometimes I look around on the forum and I'm like "OOH someone posted recently!", so I click on the thread. That guy posted 2 hours ago! The forums trick me >_<

This all means that the site is undergoing optimization. Don't worry, it will boil over within a week or so, and the forum will be back to normal, as well as the site being improved in some way.

That happened to me twice today, only the last posts were a few weeks ago. The first time it actually tricked me into creating a post without me knowing that the thread was dead, so I ended up leaving a somewhat long reply on a nearly dead thread.

Where it would say "just posted by XXXX" and then when you look on the thread, the most recent reply was 2 weeks? Yeah, same here. It's like the appearance of receiving a cookie, and then when you reach your arms out to grab it, the cookie moves and goes into the hands of another person. HEART BREAKING :'(

Some time ago, I've asked Cenere about that particular phenomenon of the recent post being shown on the Forae Overview Page, not being the actual last post in the thread...

Cenere's answer was very simple...

When the last post by someone was deleted by a mod, because of whatever reason, the name of that person still stays visible as a 'ghost-post' (funny *grins*), up untill the point comes that another person posts in the thread! =)

Still doesn't explain, why sometimes a thread is shown with:

Last post

Must be the same thing I guess?! *shrugs*
