Most new games already do put achievements in your game. What is suggested is have achievements for all games, which would be darn near impossible. Since there are achievements in our games, it is part of the site; since there are users who want to have achievements part of their game, Armorgames has been trying to get their developers to implement those in. We cannot have them directly into the site, because we try to be more "original" with how we go about gaming. Like Cenere said, if you want to have achievements, make them in your profile, stating whatever.
Also: Please don't make duplicate threads because the original was locked. They are locked for a reason, and that reason was legitimate.
Implementing an API to support achievements would be time consuming, and destroys this site's originality. The website's developers have been dealing with site optimization for quite some time. Thus, many suggestions haven't been worked on.
If it is implemented (mind you, IF) it is likely something that is looked at at the moment, since they are working on a lot of things at the moment, like knight_34 said. So patience is a vitue here...
And like Freakenstein said, when a thread is locked, accept it, move on and don't make a new thread just to keep stating your point... that will only result in problems with the admins and mods for you! Especially when you do that too often! o_O
Did I say it was the sole reason for locking it? Read my lock message again. This has been discussed to the stars and back again. You don't know because you are a newbie, but it has. I think there was even one less than a month ago, and there was never any solution found, and most people found it to be a bad idea anyway, because the staff is too lazy/busy/is optimizing the site/have other things to do/would implement other things first/should implement something else instead, and that the suggestion itself is bad/has been discussed before and denied/would be hard to but into work/would lead to people hacking and cheating just to get the achievements, no matter if there is an ap gain or not (which makes it a lot less funny for the rest)/something you can do yourself (see lock message in other thread)/copying Kong and NG, and AG has to be original/something only few people would try and get. And so on.
I just suggested it for more fun and to make things more challenging..
Refer to lock message. You can make achievements yourself. That way you get what you want, and the optimization or whatever can go on, and perhaps it will happen some day. Until then, people just have to tighten the belt and be creative.

I personally wouldn't like it because we'd copy Kong, and lose originality. Many others find that too. And I like the site as it is.

Exactly, I mean... what's there to gain if you copy every item another gaming website has?! Then you would make this original gaming website simply one more site of a couple of hundred out there! By keeping it the way it is, only tweaking it here and there and implement some features that could make AG's community benefit from (this suggestion NOT being one of them), you would stay original! And that's the course AG should follow, not following the rest of the sites out there like lame sheep...
