With all the posts going around about how lame it is that there are so many ads in AG right now, I believe that it is time for us to show that we are lucky to HAVE AG in the first place.

People to thank: (this is an old list so if anyone quit or has been added tell me)

The Great ruler Daniel McNeely
NoNameC68
Carlie
Gantic
Dank
Estel
Moegreche
Devoidless
Strop
Ubertuna
Zophia
Cenere

If I am not mistaken, these people monitor a site that allows people to post opinions, play games, and have a general good time. They disserve our thanks, not our outrage at small changes to the website they try so hard to make accessible.

So let me be the first in thanking them for working so very hard to make us have a good time (don't get me wrong, the game designers are great too).

Moegreche is no longer a moderator, and you forgot most of the developers. Let's not forget to thank John (of course), Krin, ConArtists, and joey for doubling as game designers as well as developers; and Iroot and cormyn, our admins who we don't really see, but they're still there; and Flipski, who handles contact reports and will sometimes step in as a debater.

Okay so Moegreche is not an Mod. K.

Also, this thread is not for developers it is for mods. I did not know about Iroot and cormyn but okay.

Please, if a game designer reads this thread, I mean you no disrespect. You are all fantastic.

i personally dont have any issues with the ads except for the removal of the random game and instead the input of the online games that u have to pay for. As long as there is another place where random games will show up I have no issue with it

I don't think game designers look at threads, they make games and that is all.

Doesn't mean he shouldn't be thanked. In which case, why not thank the other former mods as well?

I'm only referring to the game designers who are also admins, and that includes Tony, who I somehow forgot was an admin here...

i would like to thank the mods too they do a great job. but with out our criticism they would think they were perfect witch no one is. so we need to point out the glitches in order to balance the site out. as long as it isn't too mean or annoying to them

You could always go around the about page to look at all the people in AG to thank, PLUS those that have retired from said positions, like Moegreche, Asherlee, Calm, and others (sorry if I forgot your name!). This includes the administration, game developers, and the community mods. Together, AG has one heck of a team that gets things done, while still adhering to the needs of the common folk. Without these guys, AG would go *ppppphhhttt* and none of us citizens of AG would handle having no police officers, court justices, or president to regulate the fair city. It just couldn't be possible!

*clears throat*

YOU GUYS FLUFFING ROCK!

I felt better doing it from memory.

You forgot:
DragonMistress (mod)
Shpigford (admin)

There are probably more that were before my time, but these are the ones I am aware of.

D'oh!

I knew there was another name, I just couldn't think of it... So yeah, on account of the ad discussion, AG really wouldn't be here without the use of ads. You really have to remember that without the flow of income generated from these ads, Danny would have to pay out his own pocket, which is kinda sad if you think about it... :'(

So drop the flash and ad blocker and go explore the outer reaches of gaming!

Hooray for Armor Games!
Being a site for 5 years isn't easy, so lets hope we can make it 10.
Also thanks to all my friends and mods that helped me out during my time here.

It has only been a web site for 5 years? Really? I thought it was much older than that.

Actually, the Armorgames we all know and love has only been here for about two and a half years. Of course, before this one, there was another AG, as well as Games of Gondor.

Did they fuse or something, because Games of Gondor pops up as AG now...

Well, why do you think GoG is not here anymore? Because it goes along with Lord of the Rings, and so that had copyright problems inflicted on the site. Games of Gondor turned into Armorgames, and has flourished much more since then

I wasn't a member of GoG back then, since I was a wee bit younger and didn't know much about game sites or forums, but I did play their games every now and then.

The Old AG

Games of Gondor

According to this old Mega64 ad for AG, the site was redesigned late 2007.
