Moderaters don't have time to take a map and put it into free rider 2. And anyway...Armor Games say you get a merit for a thoughtful response, not for playing a game.
What would be the definition of a "good" FR2 map? Isn't "good" more of an opinion than a definition? Any FR2 map can be good in some mod's standards. The question is, what defines "good" and how "good" does a map have to be to get a prize?
Couldn't someone just make a map with thousands of stars and seperate them enough so that the level would take hours? It would be a longshot for a merit, but by your standards, it wouldn't break any rules.
well the problem with this is people can consistently make good free rider maps. so people could get a merit every 5 days or less. and that is first dumb and second unfair to those who are not as talented at the game
This is rediculus, merits are awarded for creative writing and not playing a game for a couple hours to make a track. And then there would be people who had like 20 merits that they got in a week.
The purpose of Merits is to reward individuals who take the time to write comprehensive, supportive, and meaningful comments, not to reward people for playing games. Creating Free Rider 2 maps does not assist in benefiting the AG community as a whole, while writing Merit-worthy comments encourages users to take time with their responses instead of spamming.
So no, Merits should not be awarded for good Free Rider 2 maps.
Moderators usually can't tell a stolen map from an original map either, so no. There is a way to avoid this, but yaddyyaddyyada too much time and effort for something that most people don't seem to be interested here in this topic.
Others have stated some good reasons for why this is a bad idea. I can see the thought behind it, and I think it's nice that you posted it, but it wouldn't work well.
People could get 10 merits in a day if they just kept crankin' out "masterpieces". The problem is, like I've said before, it's too opinion-based, and if no mod is into the type of level that you specialize in making, you shouldn't hope for many meritish prizes along your journey.
You know, that would be so totally awesome and we could impose limits to how many you can send, but I still think that this won't work and that there are more downsides to it.
But it all comes down to "Why do you care about getting merits for the masterpiece anyways? Isn't it just to better the community and the site?". It's exactly what it comes down to. You shouldn't have to expect a merit even though you know for yourself that you did your best with this and that. That's all that matters.
Lol, this a rather crazy merit way in my opinion...
Lemme see... Well, if we gave merits for good Free Rider tracks, mods would turn gray and old sifting through all the user-made tracks, and 99% will not be very good, and definitely not merit worthy.
Mods would have to make a Free Rider 2 track merit standard, and who knows what that would be.
it's too opinion-based,
True: A mod who likes Free Rider 2 will most likely give out merits for it, while the other mods might not give out any.
Moderators usually can't tell a stolen map from an original map either, so no.
That's a very good statement there, Plokkey: Too many ways to cheat in this, and plagiarize.
Besides, if you guys went to Trackmill (An official Free rider 2 site) you'd see our version is outdated.
