I say that should be an option. It has been recognized as a country in multiple treaties, and it has it's own national lacrosse team. that totally constitutes a country.

It was an example... And Luge Federation (Is that what the FIL is?) does not make a country. And the country hasn't been been recognized by the UN still...

Andthere are about 7,334,935 people in Serbia..... I agree with serbia getting a flag cos it's a country.


Why does the UN not consider many large places as countries? Well first off, the places might actually be part of another country, which is not willing to let go of that land. Also, imagine if the world broke down into little countries (Ex: texas into 50 little territories). There'd be mayhem, and we'd all go back to Feudalism (You can bet many people will seize power and try to take over neighboring lands).

So you know, according to Wikipedia (The UN site is down) Serbia is accepted by the UN.

Serbia is most definently a country there is no contention of that here from anyone..... There was a thread a while back(I think) about the Serbian flag not being on AG but the search isn't finding anything. I can't remember why it isn't a choice especially when we look at some of the flag we do have.

I can't remember why it isn't a choice especially when we look at some of the flag we do have.

No I meant why it wasn't put on when all the tohers were it seems a strange country to eeeerrrr.... "forget"(?) about. Then again it was on founded on the 5 June 2006 but that's surely before AG.

Cracked is a darn good site.

Well, if this really angers you or upsets you, I suggest going to an admin (Some of them look at their Profiles but don't comment). Or using the contact page, although it is not lear if it works.

AG might have gotten the country list from a site other than the UN, that was not up to date.

And human. They make mistakes.


But, few if any of us know how the site optimization is going along. It's been nearly a year now. I hope this changes.

Yes, anyone who wants new flags should go to Carlie, who will most likely see it. She will then share her opinion here or nothing will happen, meaning the idea has been rejected.

Longer. It started almost right after I joined. And you can occasionally notice it these days still. Optimization seems to be a constant thing on AG.

Nope. The reason why we can't get anything implemented (including new flags) is the optimization. It has been a constant thorn in the side of this forum for quite a while.

It does. I've used it, and got a reply, pretty fast. Actually quite fast, in under an hour.

It was somewhat important, but it still proves that it works.

If the Iroquois confederacy got a flag, then every state and province of every country should get one too, considering how it's already part of some countries . . . .

So not a country. There are 'nations' that make it up, but those nations are not countries.

It alsmost certainly isn't a UN source. If it was, Palestine would have a flag.

States are pretty objective entities, and if they don't appear on an official list it's for political reasons way out of the control of AGs staff. Besides. I can think of plenty of more worthwhile things they could be doing to the site than catering to the grievances of every national minority.

Indeed, I must agree with you.
