well i think it might come down to this. My opinion how this thing will start. The stock market will fall. NAmerica will get the first effect. Then every nation will get hit. Everyone will freak out and point fingers. Everyone gets really defensive and we start the war to end all wars. Idk. It's just something that has slipped my mind. Anyone else have ideas about it?(don't take this in the wrong way please.)

Your kidding right? It's called MAD. Some small dissident nation launches a nuclear weapon at the Us who launches one back which comes dangerously close to a larger nation who shoots another one off.
It will not be nuclear, it will by BIO as in a bio bomb When this happens the bomb will destroy all living things but not harm any structures, life will be impossible, and prob. nuclear missiles will be fired by the more poor countries. As for trusting anyone there will be no trust. It only takes one and them boom, the world is gone. The bible predicts it for one thing ( if that means anything to you) and it will not be anything like any other war EVER. Because this war could be fought without a single;e soldier. Scary, robots maybe prob just missiles though or space if we have that tech. by then.

At the rate the world is falling apart, nuclear bombs are a much more likely candidate. As its been said before, a small nation with an unstable leader launches one, then the nation they attacked launch and then more launch and bye-bye world.

Anyway..... I don't see WWIII anytime soon the scale of weapons we have at our disposal (globally) should be enough to deter a massive conflict...... there will probably be an increase in smaller scale wars though

I personally see the current "war on terror" as WW3. Most of the world is involved. I'm not sure why people think WW3 needs nukes and billions dead to be called part 3.
But on topic. I agree with thelistman. The war in the Middle East may very well qualify for World War 3 when historians in later years look back on it. Also what is with the morbid obsession with wanting the world to end?

Even countries who support nuclear disarmament would rather use nukes then lose in a war with such a massive scale, way back in WWII when the German invasion of Britain seemed likely, the Brits had auxiliary plans that involved poisonous gas.
