1. Sexually explicit pictures, writing, or other material whose primary purpose is to cause sexual arousal.
I do like the purpose being included in the definition, but I'm not sure it can be used in an objective sense. Can't something be pornographic if it's purpose is not arousal?
It seems that the inclusion of writing and other forms of media conflict with the -graphy part of the word.
3. Lurid or sensational material
That's way to vague. That applies to many things that are clearly not pornography. The use of the word or doesn't help.

printed or visual material containing the explicit description or display of sexual organs or activity, intended to stimulate erotic rather than aesthetic or emotional feelings.
I kinda like the "if it's intended to arouse, it is porn" aspect of that definition. It's that kind of thing that makes the wikipedia article on vulvas scary instead of arousing. 'Cause it has genitals but it's... Not really... Pornographic, it's... Just there... Gaping out at your sooooooul...
As much as I believe pornography should be illegal, I don't want it to be because the industry is worth something like fifteen billion dollars. That's a lot of tax money our wonderful government can put towards a good use (sarcasm).
As much as I believe pornography should be illegal,
Why do you think it should be illegal?
I personally don't see anything wrong with it so I see no reason for it to be illegal. Also as pointed out it's clearly has an economic benefit. What can you say, sex sells.
It should never be made illegal. I mean, if it was made illegal, do you know how many angry teenagers there would be roaming the streets, demanding free porn?
Pornography IS legal. You just have to be a certain age in order to view it.
You're probably wondering why you cant look at it at a younger age... say 12 >.>;
That's because those under 18 are usually still going through hormone changes and are dealing with social interaction with the opposite gender (or same, if that's your thing). Its not the government trying to be unfair and keep the "cool" things from the kids. Its about Maturity. Can you handle it? Will you go running off trying to do the same thing with all the girls you see? Is it real?
Give a kid a puzzle, he'll try to solve it. Give a kid a swing set, he'll try to play on it. Give a kid beer, he'll try to drink it Give a kid a gun, he'll try to shoot someone. Give a kid pornography, he'll try to have sex with someone.

The first four things on your list are much easier to accomplish than the fifth one. The fifth one requires someone else, meaning it will probably end up in rejection.

Or rape, as I'm sure you know there are videos like that out there...
Why-y-y?
Probably because his parents caught him beating to some and he got in trouble.
