are not necessarily stupid. Especially in politics. I think that what happens much of the time in arguments (especially on politics.) is that one person assumes the other disagrees because they are either stupid, misinformed, uninformed, or bigoted. I have fallen into this line of thinking myself, and I recognize that it's probably the root of all ignorance in politics.

I think it is ENTIRELY POSSIBLE for two people to absorb the same information and emerge with totally different viewpoints.

Not much of a topic starter, I know, but something Ive noticed when people talk on these subjects.

I've fallen into that line because of other people falling into that line and pushing it on me.

I think it's our job to think the opposition is stupid. It's just how humans work, and where all arguments and fighting begin.

Respect in politics for the opposition is very rare, almost nonexistent.

An amazingly simple but ever yer important every day observation.

I think it's our job to think the opposition is stupid. It's just how humans work, and where all arguments and fighting begin.

If no contrary beliefs were ever presented, I don't want to think of where we would be now.

I think that's why we elect politicians? I also think they're forgetting that they are elected to represent The People.

Obviously. I while agao I had a great discussion with this guy. If he comes online anymore you can tell he is one the few educated people on this site.
