Hey there Armor Games creators. This is the Bad Idea Bros. Do you need an Idea for a new game design? Well thats what we're here for and we can work with you side by side until you finish your design hint for any necessary improvements. Or if you just flat out need an idea drop either Michael or Austin a line in the following format depending on what kind of idea you want.
The only thing that really differs is that we do not take any credit and do not present a fee.
Tell us again why you do it? Unless sheer boredom is the cause...
And I do not believe that "suspicion" is an appropriate element to be mixed between your curiosity and our giving information.
I just don't really see the point of your existence (No offense...). Developers use user feedback mostly made by themselves...
Then I assume you didn't do "Let There Be Squirrels". There's a difference between saying 'We worked on this' and 'no credit taken'.
That's true. No evidence...
Here's a bit of irony: Most of the developers on AG never look into the forums. Why? Because they are never active. The only time something happens is when they upload a game. Examples are everywhere. Therefore I find that this thread is slightly useless to both you and developers-who-don't-visit. I'd recommend commenting them or even better, emailing them for free-employment offers.
Developers use user feedback mostly made by themselves...
Hmm interesting choice of words. You can say that between our game designing we can look out for the "little guy."
And if we are not allowed to tell you the clients info and don't take any credit how do you expect proof? I'm truly sorry but any further than search engines is beyond our liability. I know that if it were me, I would be skeptical as well.
um..... so.... w8..... which one is it? I have no idea how to program in flash. I have flash (ik, weird right?). I have a couple ideas, but idk how to program. so if i give u the idea, will u program it for me? or is it supposed to be you give me the idea, and i program it?
Not quite. If you have an idea that you cant make a story plot for, thats where we come in. We make several variables for your idea and you accept one to finish you story.
Developers use user feedback mostly made by themselves...
Beta testers?
It's just you've already said "We've done this" and "We don't take credit". I actually believe you're doing this only for the 'get to say we've done this' and not for pay.
You guys seem to have missed my post... Or the part about irony... Lol.
And if we are not allowed to tell you the clients info and don't take any credit how do you expect proof?
Which makes me and Graham skeptical: How can you claim you helped make a game? There is no proof in your statements in this:
Michael: For instance, my colleague's latest idea given, succeeded and satisfied was "Let There Be Squirrels" an action packed shoot'em up and hand to hand thriller that, might I add, greatly succeeded in satisfying our client.
I guess that proves you're free-working... Though I find it a bit strange... You should be taking credit, but no payment. It's simply fair and respectful to give someone credit for something they helped it (Otherwise it's plagiarism, sort of).
So wait, if i have an idea, you will make it a game for me?
No, they give out ideas for developers, they themselves are not developers (From what we have understood).
okay.... y are u guys giving him a hard time? If you guys think its a bad idea, then fine. Its a bad idea. But he thinks its a good idea. So just leave him alone. this thread is getting kinda heated...
It doesn't matter whether your work is true or not. What really matters is why you actually made this thread. People cannot advertise services, websites, or referral links via threads on AG, especially one that does not involve help / giving suggestions to better the site. If you advertise on your profiles, there's no reason to stop you, but advertise on threads and we are able to.
So w8, there is contracts involved? i doubt there wouldn't be a fee with that. I mean, a contract? Wow..... but..... u still haven't awenserd my question. If i give u my idea, will u program it?
Any who, as Frank stated, it's against site policy to advertise your 'services' on a thread in the forum. Your profile is fine, but an actual thread, in the way wrong section to boot, is against the rules.
Whether you're legitimate or not, the thread is still going against the rules.
But now, I'm not a mod, so I can't do anything.
As for your 'service', if I should call it that, is very phishy, if you will. It's very BS sounding. You should probably give us a website or a direct link to a game you worked on.
Right now you're the guy who says that he's writing a book but isn't telling anyone anything nor providing proof.
