Maybe this has been suggested before... maybe not. But I'm going to suggest it anyway!
How about having small screenshots and maybe a 'unch line' with the 'game-atars' on Armor Games?
That would seriously increase the 'surf-ability' of the games on the website for the visiting guests and make the expansion rate of new users climb...
I know it has the disadvantage of costing new programming and server space, but I think it has the potential of being a good tool for AG to attract new users!
It made me visit several gaming websites frequently, because I could see what the game was like and read a little about it before I choose to play it or not!
Huh? What are you talking about exactly? Forgive me for this stupidity.
I know you have and many of us have great ideas, but the developers haven't been achieving much. Could you ask Carlie about how the web development is going? She is the only one who can answer that for us.
Yeah, Kongregate has that. But I still don't really like Kong.
It would be nice to see something like that here too, but I haven't seen a modification such as that (aside from the revamped high scores thing) in all the time I've been here. Heck, I've seen the reverse - they have slowly removed some nifty features due to lag. I hope this optimization is dealt with.
I am not entirely sure what you mean. Are you talking about making the game images larger? For example, when you go to the Action page, having every game more like the featured game (Crush the Castle)?
you know, when I wanna see if a game is good, I PLAY IT! I really don't think this is needed. and if you're talking about having bigger pictures for games, try ctrl+mwheel-up.
From what I understand, yes, with a summary or some featured comments, reviews, or something of the sort, available for viewing before opening the actual game's page.
Some had it right (spot-on) about what I meant, some missed my point...
To explain what I meant, you should have a look at BubbleBox.com. This was one of the first gaming wbsites I encountered while starting to search for and play games online. They have the features I am talking about...
# The front home page shows the 'game-atars' with a small 'Punch-Line' to explain the game and get you interested for it...
#Then when you click the game in question, for example I clicked the game 'Steambirds' (also a game here on Armor Games!), you get the presentation page of that game. It contains two small 'in-game' screen shots to present what the game looks like when you play it!
#Then, when you choose to play the game and click the 'lay now!' button, you get the actual game screen and can start playing the game!
This presents a better and more fun way to 'sell the games' to the users! Should work in my opinion! =D
I have seen that feature. It is quite good indeed.
Alright MrDayCee. If you missed the April Fool's thread, the web developers are making AG v3. Which will most likely be a major overhaul of the site. It's been three years, so this should be good.
I don't recall anyone ever making a suggestion like this. Post it in the Suggestions thread. If it doesn't really get any attention, I think you could either go to one of the web developers, or maybe Carlie.
