This thread really should not be opinions. It is fact that Humans are the smartest followed by all of the other critters, in descending order.

How do you know that? Maybe they just want us to think that we're smarter :P
I know, I'm being a smartass, but it's soo much fun!

True, because nothing else lives here, which is smarter than we are.

That's what I- jesus, is there a smart a** on every thread? -_-

Prove it.

When did monkeys make cities? When did they begin farming? When did they invent civilization? When did they began to write?

I think monkeys do farm, just not using the scale or methods of humans.

Think about how humans developed farming, they ate something, shat out the seed, and noticed a few months later a strawberry growing in their latrine. The human made the connection and started shooting out seeds all over the place for more strawberries.

I think chimps already dig holes to plant certain tubers, also, but I'm basing that off of an old Discovery Channel documentary, so I'm not too sure.

i was watching some show on the Discovery channel, "life" and there was footage of a monkey like animal (i don't remember its name) who was using a rock to crack open a nut. and then it was teaching its baby to do the same. This was the use of tools, and it will take time but they will learn to use other tools and that is how the humans got so smart. with the wheel and other tools.

Hehe, that's interesting.

Anyhow humans are still more intelligent than any other animal on this Earth. If you don't think so, go live in the jungle.

No, because that would make elephants more intelligent than humans.

It's probably only a general guide. Not a strict definer.

If brain size determined Intellect, then Hydrocephalus would be a blessing... Plus weed would make you smarter.

He was being hypothetical. He wasn't stating facts.
