Some confusion----

Liberals are Left, Left wants to increase government, liberals are those in favor of not being controlled?

Repub/Conserv Right, Right wants to decrease government, Repub/Conserv are in favor of being controlled?

if anything the two controlling things are mixed up. With more government, you'd be more controlled.

Okay i agree with the statements that liberals usually if not always end up in a communist or socialist government.

How does progressive ideas like woman's rights, gay rights, worker rights, etc translate to dictatorships? While communists advocate these things, I don't even see the relation between these things and socialism.

Conservatives favor smaller federal government, and let individual state governments deal with the problems of people in their state.

They are usually in favor of keeping the tradition and/or status quo. No need for change, keep things the way they are. "Traditional" values. Also, they are strong advocates of less government regulation when it comes to the casino gambling center that is Wall St. Kinda contradicting really... they preach about how great democracy is, and say they love it... yet inevitably are also in favor of dictatorship. How? By giving power to the top 1 percent that is the Goldman Sachs, AIG CEOs and etc.

But isn't it the 1% that keeps preaching the 'staus quo' mantra? Who the little people know are the oil companies, power companies, big insurance companies. That way they look good to the moral majority, they think.
The moral majority used to be the silent majority. They want change in America. All they see, however is business as usual and spend, borrow, print more money we don't have. Say all the great things, college students want to hear, while behind the students' backs their student loans are drying up and jobs are going to their grand parents because Medicare benefits are being reduced. What a mess!

Although they seem to have no problem with a larger military and intense foreign intervention. Not to mention government intervention on the role of abortion, marriage, and the like.

Like communists, not all capitalists are the same. You say that conservatives don't mind government intervention on the role of abortion, marriage, and the like; but that is not true. Many conservatives are fighting government intervention in many aspects of life.

I'm capitalist and I am not in favor of our current capitalist system. That does not mean I have to stop being capitalist.
