I don't think I can get anything past mum.

I don't like Konq, it's a bit old looking.

I'd get Chrome, but mum wouldn't let me, and she has a reason this time. GOOGLE KNOWS YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBERS. I don't need it knowing passwords and search history too > >

I just put it in there for no reason.

Alright. Safari and Opera. I don't know about Maxthon. If your mum has anything against Apple, then Opera. I'll probably have to dig out some more browsers. Crap, there aren't any more left to dig out.

My mum has a thing about downloads.

Unless I buy a Mac, I'll probably stay away from Safari. It looks and operates quite nicely.

Opera... It's been around since the wars between IE and FF. Is it any good?

Opera has apparently been around since 1996. It's an excellent browser and has won quite a number of reviews. And by the way, the browser on the Nintendo DS and Wii, is Opera.

My mum has a thing about downloads.

Even if they're a dozen megabytes or so?

No, it's the safety. I told mum FF is safer than IE but it killed us last Time.

Well, that is just unfortunate. Probably can't do anything about that.

Whether you want to take a risk, is up to you. You should probably get another opinion here. I don't know if I would, if I were in your position. Since I don't whether your IE broke because of FF or something else which is not obvious.

If you ever get a new computer, change your browser.

Firefox is a pretty good browser. I also like Opera. They are both useful and powerful. Google Chrome is good if you are looking for speed.

Aside from its speed, Chrome's lightweight interface is its most popular feature I presume. But I, don't find a problem with Firefox's GUI. I've used older more antiquated browsers so I don't find FF's GUI to be a problem at all.

My only problem with Chrome is tat it doesn't have a search bar, other than that, I love it.

I honestly don't like FF much, but I'd rather use it than Safari or IE.

I don't think Opera is supported or has Flash 7 or something like that.
