I know the other one didn't go well. But I think with a little hard work this will be a success! I want this contest to be successful so I'm perfectly fine with a more experienced ArmorGamer making the contest (just contact me first). So what do you guys think about this?
The problem with the first one is that there wasn't enough activity and the judging wasn't very great at all. In order for a contest to be good enough, even for a merit prize, it needs to have people, a great concept, and most importantly, an objective and even-handed judge. Last one was....underpar to say nicely
But yes, a second chance would be great. I say try again and get this thing back on track!
Why do you want to "claim" a contest? If you had an idea, you'd have made it and figured down to the rules. You do not "own" the idea even in the sense of priority because it is not a unique idea. Anyone is free to create a creative writing contest with or without your approval unless they create one that is closely based off one that you have already created, which is a unique idea.
