I play drums, used to play for a band in my church but i had to leave due to veichle complications (gas started costing ot much and i cant get a dern job) i have a 5 piece set, though its not tuned to well, not very good at that :P.
eh. Not bad, but even that's pretty simple as long as you have a double bass. Most metal drums have a lot of stamina but not as much technique, which is exactly what the music genre calls for.
i know alot of people who drum. they are all pot heads and very into music. They are AMAZING drumers. i have heard them play, there is about 3 of them who are "amazing". I definitly think they could be in a star band.
You can't stick your head up and say such a dumb thing, without one of us telling you don't know what you're talking ABOUT.
Once again, not really that hard, just takes a lot of stamina. Anyway, the metal thing was (mostly) a joke. Its like comparing a construction worker to a software programmer; The programmers are more clever and more technical, but the construction workers have the power and brute force (as well as stamina) behind their drumming. Not to say though, that there aren't any good metal drummers out there in the technical sense, just that metal demands more stamina than technique and coordination.
