Well, Guitar Hero does have a tap feature in their guitars, which represent various parts of the song that are not necessarily guitar parts. I suppose there could be an optional "tech" part that the sole purpose is to cover said parts.

Problem with that is that not all songs can have tech parts, just like a couple parts have no mics. It would have to be entirely optional to include one in a song.

piano does not go with rock music...usually
(the piano would have around 6-10 buttons)

Many rocks songs have keyboards.

Not talking about these.

It would be hard to implement a keyboard into RB, because with 88 keys, it would make the game a lot more complicated, and it would mean the player would actually have to be a pianist to play, which ruins the whole point of fake rock instruments.

I never played Rock Band, but it could go like Guitar Hero and have a red key, a blue hey, and orange key, a green key and a yellow key.

Or something.

Simplifying a 6-string guitar to 5 buttons is much different from simplifying an 88-key piano to 5 buttons. If my math skills are correct, you'd be getting 17.6 keys-per-button if you simplified it that way.

It would depend on where in the song what note it would play.

No wait! I've got it. Eight notes. That's all a real piano has. No sharps or anything though. It would work with my above post.

I know some prog rock bands who incorporate the piano very well, it sounds great so I say yes

but in the game you only can use a few buttons, so it make no sense

NO it shouldn't. There would only be 5 keys, and it would be just like a guitar except no strumming. NO PIANO FTW!!!
