Welcome, Veterans and newcomers! This is the reconstruction of The Zombie Survival Club.

First off, I'll introduce you to some of our staff.
-SkaterKidWhoPwns- This is the guy who is my 2nd in command. If you cannot get to me, go to him and he'll answer questions/comments/concerns.
...We have no other staff? Well then.

READ THE RULES. IF YOU DO NOT IT'S LIKELY YOU'RE NOT GETTING IN.
1. Do not ask "Can I join?" or any other variation of that comment. (instructions on how to join will come soon)
2. Do not make a "Scenario" (will be explained later) unless you are a member.
3. Don't be stupid, use logic and think as if you were in the actual situation. OF course it's unlikely that it will happen, but we ask that all visitors and members be serious and literate.
4. Do not question mod or my/skater's authority (unless a mod directly opposes it)
5. No overly smart-*ss comments against other members, visitors, or your superiors.
6. Do not make a Virus until you are a member. The sheet for making a virus will be given to you upon asking me or skater.
7. DO NOT. ABSOLUTELY NOT, ASK "CAN I JOIN?". I cannot stress this enough.

Now that all the rules are over with, I'll go over some Jargons (slang terms relating to "work&quot that we use here.

Scenario - This is a term we use for a situation that is meant to test the user (as well as give you something to do). These are non-linear, and are generally Hypotheticals. Any MEMBER can make a scenario. Scenarios are generally matched with a previous story/situation and they give the supplies you have on hand. As well as the supplies near you. There's also generally a map that goes with it.

Virus, Parasite, Infection - These are the general types of a zombie virus. If there is not a previous virus that is mentioned before a virus or a plan, it is automatically changed to the current dominant virus (Goliath). Goliath will be explained later in the OP.

Zed - Is the common nickname for Zombie. I.E. "Yo dude I just shot up some Zeds!" Or: "Gah! That d**n ZED bit me!"

Well that's it for the terminology! Here's the dominant virus. It's gone through plenty of tweaking, and I think it's pretty much the most realistic virus in the club (aside from hungers). If no other virus is specified before a Scenario or a plan, this is the virus to be used.
Name - Goliath Syndrome
Type - Parasite
Speed - Leisurely walking speed (2-4 MPH)
Sounds - A mild groan, much like a man/woman in pain. No screaming comes from the virus.
Infection - Infection comes from the cells. If so much as a skin cell gets into you, you'll be quickly infected (aprox. 10-160 minutes, depending on strength and immune system of the user). It contracts a lot like AIDS, but it can be ANY cell, be it secretion or meat.
Hunting - It hunts by smell and hearing. It can't see that well, but strong light in the dark will attract it. Best time to attack one is in the daytime. They can't see in detail but they can see blurry instances of light, I.E., a fire or a flashlight.
Other - Cannot swim. Cannot fly, cannot run, cannot climb.
Believability Factor - Goliath was made in a lab (Codename: Anthemia, which is a prototype of the virus. Can also be used for begginers). It hyper-evolved and infected a rat. THe rat got out and began to infect humans (as well as certain birds, causing the infection to be worldwide). What the parasite does is: It enters the body as an infected cell. From there, it infects all the other cells, coating them in a secretion that fends off any form of decomposer (In short, it makes the immune system of the host really powerful). Then, it randomly selects a cell in the body (it is generally a cell in the torso). It grows to about the size of a human heart. IT then crawls it's way into the brain. IT preforms a lobotomy and hooks into the brain, feeding it with a steady flow of required nutrients and oxygen. It shuts down all other systems besides the lungs and flushes out the blood in the body (the parasite provides the necessities for living brain), and spreads long, muscular tentacles across the zombie's body, becoming a puppeteer. The parasite feeds by slowly eating the host. IT'll take a couple of decades in order for the parasite to starve/suffocate.
Best ways to kill it - A shot to the head, killing either the parasite or the brain. A punctured lung will also kill it, but it'd take a couple of minutes for it to actually die.

How to become a member
First off, you need to make a plan. You have everything you would at home. IT would happen the moment you are typing up the answer. So if it happens at night, then it happened at night, happened at day, it happened at day. For the sake of not-cheating, we'll use AG time.
Then, you have to answer a Scenario. The Scenarios come every couple of pages.
Wait for Both the Plan and the Scenario to be graded. Each member has their own form of grading. Once it's been passed around me and Skater will figure out whether or not to let you in.
If you are not initially let in, do not be disheartened! You have unlimited tries to enter, and all members (should) give you tips to get a better plan.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why the hell am I doing this?
Reasons vary. Some people in the club do think the Zompocolypse would actually happen, and some people (like myself) do it for fun and practice for writing. Others do it because they just like killing and surviving zombies, while keeping it pretty realistic.

Can I make a Virus?
Sure, if you give me a comment on my page I'll be happy to give you the layout for the virus.

Can I Join?
Scroll up and read the OP. Do it.

Can I make a Scenario?
If you are a member, sure. Just make sure it's somewhat realistic. There are no real parameters for it, it just has to be a situation. Try and make it hard, too.

I think that's pretty much it! There are a couple of tiddly bits for you guys, though:
Titles/Ranks - A title or a "rank" will be given to you if you do something outstandingly awesome, stupid, weird, or just plain out there while still keeping it realistic. For a list of the ranks/titles, visit my page.
Members - A list of the members can be found on either my, or skater's page.
Discussion - Discussions will be held every now and again, as a stand-in for a Scenario. There will be a topic in BOLD (BOLD, MEMBERS) to let you know what the Discussion is about.
and that is pretty much it.
Now then, have fun everyone!

I liked the start of your plan, but depending on teh elements of your area being out on the roof with no shelter as much as a tarp could be a REALLY bad idea. Also, I would prefer if you didn't rely on rescue patrols so much, but that can be fixed if you really wanna tinker with it.

I'll give it a 7/10. Solid, but the rescue thing is too risky. Keep in mind that in the club, you should rely on yourself and only yourself (as it's the only thing that can accurately be judged, and it's the only thing that you can really truly count on)

I'm not JUST sitting on the roof so the rescue patrols can spot me. It's the safest location in my property. If i just stayed in the house IN AN URBAN AREA surely zombies would be able to break in as i dont have such great weapons. I had to work with what i had. And as uncomfortable as the roof could be. It's my best bet at survival.

The chance of being spotted by a rescue patrol is just a little bonus. I would never, and i mean never go to a location just because theres a small chances a rescue patrol could spot me.

I chose the roof because it's the safest spot to be for the first few days.

I believe it's on page one. I think he put his plan in the very first post, as an example.

Hey guys, gals, rodents, and chuck norris(we all know he's watching)
I'm going to make a plan so any things i say that are wrong please alert me to.
I'm going to put numbers wich are what i would do and also it makes it easier to comment on a point or points.
Let's get started!
1:round up any survivors
2:grab non-perishable foods and weapons(my 4 guns(x2 ak-47and x2 glocks+silencers))
3:grab pliers and my welding equipment(im expierienced)
4:get my bike out of the garage
5:ride to the nearest electrial plant and grab some metal
6:go to the pier and grab my boat
7:fortify boat with earlier collected metal
8:ride a short distance out of the coast and get to the other side of the rivervmake a shelter and live for a few years while things quite down(the goliath strain only lasts 5 years)

1:round up any survivors

People are bad. At least your plan doesn't rely on them. Only take people you trust, and make sure they aren't bitten.

2:grab non-perishable foods and weapons(my 4 guns(x2 ak-47and x2 glocks+silencers))

Honestly I doubt you have two AK-47s, and I'm not sure but I think silencers are like illegal or something. I don't believe that part, and I will ignore it.

4:get my bike out of the garage
5:ride to the nearest electrial plant and grab some metal

Can you ride a bike comfortably while carrying: Food, welding equipment, metal, and possibly guns?

7:fortify boat with earlier collected metal

What are you fortifying, exactly? Like, are you fixing doors so zombies don't get in? Or what?

8:ride a short distance out of the coast and get to the other side of the rivervmake a shelter and live for a few years while things quite down(the goliath strain only lasts 5 years)

Live for a few years on what? The food you brought? How are you going to get fresh food? I suppose the river counts for water but food is still important. And who said the Goliath strain only lasts 5 years? I've never read that. I don't really wanna rate this, for obvious reasons, but if I had to I'd give it a 3/10. A 3 because you used a bike and a boat, which are good choices.

Does it normally take three tries to make a good plan? Not that I'm criticizing the rating criteria that members use, I'm just curious.

Version 2.3

Right now, it's day. After finding my dead pets, I'd turn on the TV, most likely either finding static or something about the outbreak. First, I'd find the pistol and 30 in. 12 gauge shotgun my Dad owns, and try to remember how to use them. These will be more for emergencies, knowing that it's obvious and painful, even when you can handle the kick.. Since I live fairly remotely, I'll have plenty of time to prepare for escape. I'll also take some high-carb food that will last a long time and can be eaten cold, like a lot of MREs, some honey or some of the MANY canned goods I have expiration dated going past the year 2020, since I'll be doing a lot of traveling. I'd keep it light enough to keep from overburdening myself, but I don't know what exactly is up in that pantry. I'm not the house chef, the best cooking methods I know involve either cold food, microwaves and a few fire-and-fork recipes. When I get outside, I'd have a choice of my dad's cross between a sport bike and a cross-country tour motorcycle, my dad's Honda Element, and my brother's delivery van. The motorcycle is quick but badly armored, the delivery van would be clumsy but durable, and the Element is a cross of the two. All three of these would do well on-road, but the van might have trouble in other parts, so I will be ready to abandon the thing at any time. I know from experience that the Element does adequately off-road, and I think I saw my dad navigate a forest with the motorcycle. Most likely, I'd choose the Motorcycle for speed, manuverability and choosing what I'm best with.

Depending on the vehicle of choice of vehicle, I'd take an appropriate amount of extra gas. I'd take a machete that is relatively short but very light. If all this that I have sounds ridiculous, I actually have everything I mention. I'd gather more supplies, including bear traps and a stone my dad uses to sharpen his machete. For what I'll wear, I'd take my steel-toe boots, motorcycle jacket and helmet, thick blue jeans and my military-grade back pack in addition to my normal T-shirts and underwear. I'd probably head to the east coast so I could find a boat to sail away with.

If I find any survivors, I'll probably ignore them, excepting anyone who shoots me. In that case, I shoot back and take whatever of their stuff I can use when they're dead. If I notice a particularly people-free store I think I can get something of use form, such as an gun store, gas station, Outdoors sports store (Like Gander Mt. stores), or food store, I'd probably lay traps near my bike and approach the store with caution, paying attention so that I don't get hit by a trap. Heck, I can even use the traps I can re-activate after de-activation (like bear traps) for more use!

Alt, we all agreed, its better then nothing right?

Yeah, but he also got a pistol, which is much better than a pistol for Goliath. Because of that, the shotgun becomes more of a last resort/deadweight than anything.

Of course, a suppressor would make the shotgun a lot more useful, but they aren't easy to find.

Does it normally take three tries to make a good plan? Not that I'm criticizing the rating criteria that members use, I'm just curious.

Depends on the person. A lot of people get in on their first try, and for some people, it took a lot more. A lot of people also get in in one try and then revise their plan anyway - that's what I did.

Your plan is really good, but you still don't say how you're going to carry everything. Do you have a compartment on the motorcycle? A backpack? Other than that, your plan is really great. I'd rate it a 7/10 personally. I'd also like for you to add on a long-term survival plan - do you sail to another country in the boat, or do you fish for food, or what? You don't need to to pass, but I'm interested in what you'd want to do.

Danny, a few things....

Firstly, I don't care about your other clubs your in. Quit bringing them up.

Nextly, your plan relies heavily on the aspect of survivors being there. Your whole plan was written in "we" don't count on them at all. Nextly, unless your jack russel is well trianed, those things bark at leaves blowing by. Great way to give away your location. If I where you, I would set that thing free. (AKA Kill it)

stay away from millitary basses. Although they may help you, they may also kill you as soon as they see you. About a 50% chance, depending whos on guard. If you get a trigger happy guard, your sunk. If you odn't you might get in. If you have cuts though, they may mistake them for bites and kill you, if you do something they don't like, they may also kill you.

You say your frineds and there families would show up. How many 15 year olds would be i ncharge of there family in a situation like this?

Do you know how to fire millitary grade guns? if not, don't take them. You owuld hurt your self.

revise what Ishowed.

Me and thoad are about to let alot of people join. We will post an updated list of members here soon.

you still haven't reviewed mine D:

Liar I did so.....not.....do.....that

First I would grab my semi-automatic hunting rifle (I'm an EXTREMLY active hunter) and begin fortifieing my home

what kind of gun, and how would you fortify your home?
since I live on a dairy farm there's plenty of food (looks at cows <_&lt and since I know how to make my own beef jerkey it'd be easy to feed mehself.

cows are good. milk for daily dairy, and beef for protein and energy. Your well off if you can keep the cows alive. If you can find a way to freeze meat (Much easier in the winter) One cow would feed you for quite a long time.

But if I ever needed to get food I'd take my motorcycle down to a little market a mile up the road, take some stuff from there (medical supplies, food, ammunition etc..) return to my home and that would be that.

what if this stuff was already looted or ran out?

If I ever ran into some zeds I'd probably try to use my bear traps on em, and set up some gas traps

what exactly is a gas trap? And a bear trap, would just catch hold of there leg. And since they don't feel pain, they might just rip there foot off and keep going. Though this would make them easy targets.

if they ever got past that use my semi-auto on em, if I run out of ammo begin using a melee weapon (such as my crowbar or sumtin).

Good, good.....

Think long term here though. what if you run out of water? Or cows? Or your market and town is out of supplies?

You got a good start, just add on.

A last couple of calrifications:

military-grade back pack

I think I got it from a guns catalog. One of the ones that doesn't sell guns, but does sell ammo and gear. And a cannon.

As for the long term, I'd probably use the left-over spare gas from raiding fuel stations to power the boat, and use the shotgun for fishing, since I'll most likely have not used it. See, that loud thing IS useful! As for where I'd go, I'd probably sail to a remote island, or another country if I can be assured there are no ZOMBIES there.

As far as fishing with a shotgun, thats a no no. when the balls hit the water, they would get caught in pockets of air, lose speed insanly fast, and then sink.

If you know how to get there, I say go for it

How did I miss that?!?

Update marked by this > *

It's currently night where I am, so I'd take a Mag Lite. Next Go to my Dad's truck, take the rope and Chainsaw *ONLY USE DURNING AN EMEGENCY* and tie it to my back. Then go to my kichen and grab some food in my backpack, losen the straps so it may fit around the chainsaw, back to my Dad's truck and take a Hard Rake, for people who don't know what that is lets just say it'd be pretty badazz for smashing Zeds face's in, and a Crowbar. Then go to my neighbors house and take his Golf Cart, and I do have a set of his keys, and check his house for food, and I do believe he has a couple of shotguns (and yes, I can handle the kick of a 12 gauge) find some more rope and put the shotty in the Golf Cart along with the rest of the stuff. Next head head to the pier, its not even a quartar mile away, *go to the store and grab a Natical chart, and hi-jack a Sailboat. After that sail down to Washington (I live in Maryland) sense most likely it is a safe zone. If not, I'll sail to Smith Island 'cause you have to take a ferry to it and its not too populated. Hopefully the wasn't an outbreak there, otherwise...Well I guess I could clear a nice house and barrcade it with wood from the boat.

skater_kid, I understand what you think here. You're thinking I'm trying to shoot directly at the fish. Actually, my plan uses something called pressure waves.

I don't know about oceans, but this works in lakes and barrels: when something hits the water, it causes little waves to ripple out, we all know this. Anyone who has even seen anything hit water knows this. The faster the object, the bigger the waves. Remember that shots from many guns move INCREDIBLY fast. Thus, big waves!

Now, there are not-quite-so-visible waves called pressure waves. Fist off, you might wnat to know what a brain is consistent like: It's not a hard lump of matter, more like Jell-o. We can squish Jell-o with our bare hands! A brain being damaged by impact pressure is a concussion, AKA being knocked out when things happen like having a bottle broken on your head.

Now, take into account that fish brains are less to squish due to being smaller. When you shoot the water with a shot like a deer slug (should have specified, sorry), you create pressure waves in the water. This may bot work for any other gun, due to how bullets disintegrate when traveling through water. The pressure waves do so much damage to fish heads and travel far enough to take out a lot of fish in one blast. It's like shooting fish in a barrel!

This would also work for explosives, like dynamite. Although, you would need a good throwing arm and not have a dog try to play fetch with the thing.

Intresting form of fishing! I have heard of people using explosives to do this, but never a shotgun. If it works, in pratic, and not just theory, I say go for it.

My plan:
Take absolutely every piece of unused furniture or any other somewhat heavy object and block the windows and doors. Then, I would use a stepladder as well as some form of sharp object in the house, like a hammer. With this, I would smash a hole into the roof. The houses in my house are close to each other, so I could go building jumping should the time come.

I have no guns, so I would jerry rig a spear, usign a kitchen knife and broom. Or I would use my actual spear and sharpen it. Point being, I would go building jumping to a couple of different houses, break those roofs too and see if there is any other survivors. If they're zeds they won't reach me. I'd make sure my mother was safely barricaded (if she is home. She works night shift at the hospital, so if the zombie outbreak happened during her work hours then I'll assume the worst, cry about it later) I'd then call my friend, tell him about the zombies (in case it hasn't gotten to his hoity toity area). IF the house was vacant, I'd get somethign from inside the house to get back onto the roof. I'd check the first few houses using this. IF I encounter a zed, I don't go in. If I don't, I'll make noise to attract something. IF nothign comes, I'd check the house.

So after this, I would make what I could of my, and my neighboors food. After I have gotten down to 50% food stores, I'd head to the nearby smith's and albertsons. Try and find something. My daily schedule would be as follows (provided I have food and water):
-wake up at 8:00
-Check internet for response from fellow humans, if power is still on
-Check to see if water is still on
-Sniff around for gas leaks
-write fliers on remaining printer paper (saying an adress, and general location, labeling it as "SAFETY CHECKPOINT, REQUIRES COMPANY"
-Check to see if the emergency "set on fire" stores are on roof (meaning I'd put some firestarting equipment, like an old newspaper, some lighter fluid and a match.)
-Pick off a few zeds from roof by drawing some form of heavy object on them.
-Write in diary.
Now then, here's where it branches off into 2 parts. 1st would be if I ran out of food and I found someone, 2nd is with me just by my lonesome.

_+_+WITH SURVIVOR+_+_
I would use the survivor as a on and off mule, as well as some form of friend of (if female) a life partner. I would head to the grand canyon, where it's unlikely a zombie would be able to kill us from teh depths of it's gorge. Or better, we'd pick up a gun ont eh way (if possible) and clear/reinforce a nearby lodge or gift-shop like area. In my spare time I'd make a escape route to the cave dwellings inside the canyon, allowing me a few more days of sweet life.
I would also take the local fauna as a resource. For the droughts, I'm pretty sure the canyon has a stream that flows through it.

I'd continue to use flyers as well. Only I'd see if I could find rubber balloons in order to send them off.

+=+=+WITHOUT PARTNER+=+=+
I would more than likely find a gun, or keep my spear and find a gun, and go out like a final hope of humanity. I would do my best to survive, but with nothing else to live for, I would do my best to use my skills in order to kill as many zombies as I can. The spear would do well at this, since it could stab through the eyes. I'd use several kitchen knives as throwing knives and I'd suit myself in very thick clothing (in order to make sure they don't get a bite on me). I'd also wear a scarf around my head (leaving only my eyes open) to prevent them from doign very much of touching me. I'd also wear my biking/gardening gloves. I'd treck across the land, clearing out places during the night, reinforcing them, and then continuing. I'd also see if I could get to radio stations, and set to a recording. The recording would go as follows:
"I am Nolan Gardipe. I may, or may not be the very last survivor on the planet. Somehow, I think that I'm not the only one who was smart enough to stay put and take matters into my own hands. Anyway, if hear this. I want you to know. I am probably still alive. I am not likely to be in this city. Just keep in mind: This voice will constantly be with you. You are the last survivor. You have lasted just as long, if not longer than me. I am clearing this world of these movie monsters. Do not join me. It is what I have left to do. Try and rebuild society. As far as I can tell, the area within the radio waves is cleared out.

Good luck."

I'd continue to do this till I died.

I'd always keep a pocket knife or a revolver with 1 bullet in handy, in case things got so hairy I was sure to die. Meaning, if the zombies were going to kill me, I wouldn't wanna be one of them.
