Due to the volcano in Iceland spewing smoke nonstop, it has spread all across Europe. This caused many flights to be grounded and train stations packed. There will be more pollution and dirty air over there too.

How long will the volcano keep pouring in smoke and how long will the smoke over in Europe linger?

Now we don't have to worry about global warming.

If it decides not to stop for another couple years, you're looking at global famine. >.>

Which is worse. Because we can actually die.

Darn! I thought Europe could survive an Ice Age due to high water levels from Global Warming!*

* Sarcasm Intended.

global famine.

Is that when the Ozone Layer blocks out the sun in some Areas? Explain.

Last time that volcano erupted, it erupted for 2 straight years, so hopefully for the folks in Europe that doesn't happen again.

I think when he says global famine, he means world wide food shortage. It should be global dimming where the earth gets cooler. Jet streams are a source of global dimming.

I have no idea where you got that information. I haven't seen anything to support this claim.

I don't know, but one of my teachers is stuck in India because of it.
Pretty funny, especially since a big assignment is due.

Ash reflects the sun very effectively. Last time we had a big burner that lasted that long of spewed out as much was Krakatoa, and that made global temperatures drop enough to notice, and a lot of crops didn't grow. Didn't last very long, only a few years, but was a major pain in the neck.

It's unlikely though, so no need for worry.
