Move if wrong forum (well even if i don't want u guys are still going to move it >.>
Anyways. This is a little game/contest/opinion thing. I will post one situation and you are going to say if u can live without or with it for one day and why and what will u do. Most of the stuff will be removal of a daily thing that people do.
Example: Could you live without a car?
After one week i will post a new question and the best reply of the last "survive question"
Anyways here is the first survival question >
Could you live without cookies for 1 day? Why and what will you do?
Why yes. I'd prefer if it was during summer, late spring or early fall, though, as I'm pretty sure electricity is involved in creating the heating for my apartment.
If it was during winter it would therefore be pretty darn cold. Now, I've been through a winter in a house with no heating and bad insulation before, it's manageable. I'd probably spend the day with candles lit, read or draw by them, and other than that just be buried under my blankets to keep from losing heat. The hardest part would be to face the lack of communication with my best friend, if cell phone batteries' stored energy counts towards the electricity. But I'd have no trouble surviving for a day. After a few days I'd probably start to get quite sad and bored, due to lack of contact, lack of communication, lack of heat and lack of interesting food (it's really hard to cook without electricity).
If it was during a time with more pleasant temperatures, I'd read, draw or do something otherwise artistic, go outside and play, stuff like that. Easier to make interesting food, too, since making a fire is easier when the wood is dry. Still the problem with lack of communication, though, but even that is easier to handle when going outside isn't a pain. I do have friends living nearby.
Survive for one day without electricity? Easy. Be comfortable and not bored without it? Hard during winter, totally doable during summer.
lack of heat and lack of interesting food (it's really hard to cook without electricity).
My food used to be cooked with a gas range connected to an LPG tank. So, I didn't need electricity back then.
Good thing is that you could get a portable torch or something
That is what an emergency light is for. Mine got stolen.
For example in India, I believe they have lots of power-cuts
Yeah, they do.
So what I am trying to say is, if you have blackouts, you know what to do, so without electricity without a day could be easier for you than someone who is not prepared for these circumstances.
What you say is true. Blackouts were a common occurrence when I was living in the Philippines. While the power wasn't killed for 24 hours, it was for something close to that. And blackouts are boring.
i survive without electricity even now, there is a blackout of 2 days for a week. and its not that unconfortable.
Well, most people here haven't encountered a blackout in years (maybe their life) and most of us are typically addicted to electricity somewhat more than people where you are, are. So, they don't find it comfortable, especially when they'd be as bored as hell.
1. Sleep 2. Sport 3. Sleep 4. Sport 5. Sleep 6. Sport 7. Sleep 8. Sport 9. Breathing 10.Eating stuff that I can eat without cooking it.
Basically they are the 10 things I would do all day. Along with breathing. If it was a school day it would be much easier I think. At home I sleep at school I keep occupied. The only problem is school would have no electricity. Which kinda cuts what I can learn there. Still I'm no reliant (is that a word?) on electricity...EXCEPT for AG.
Well first of all, no I can't. Most of you would probably say something like, "Wow man, what's your problem? It's only one day. You can't just go without electricity?"
These kind of people used to bug me, A LOT! But I soon later realized that I can't be angry at them, seeing as though they don't know who I am, or what I have.
Ever since I was born, my brain had this problem in which it couldn't stay "working". It needed to have something to keep it "going" in a sense. I know you might not fully understand what I am saying. But trust me, I am really trying my best to tell you, and it really isn't easy to explain.
So anyway, the doctors figured out in time, that my brain needs these electric shocks to keep me living from day to day. In fact, I need these shocks sent to my brain about every 3 hours or so. It is a sad life I know. I can't do the things that normal kids can do, but at least I can still be living, and I am thankful for that.
So in short, no I couldn't survive 1 day, in fact I couldn't even survive over 3 hours.

Man, I am so sorry. I could, but for you, ill keep a generator running. Hope you find a cure. I could survive without electricity, but it would be kinda hard.
It's impossible to survive without electricity, as your brain uses it to send nerve impulses throughout the body.
No electricity, no life. Period.
Don't be a smart.. Ugh, of course we all know we're talking about electricity feeding our possessions/appliances etc.

Lol, that was really funny. But you can't keep a generator if you don't have money. And this question is asking if you didn't have any means of electricity, so of course you can't use a generator.

Loloynage should of made this clear. Darn loophole exploiters.
The worst part of a power outage is the Water stops flowing.
That's a water outage or something. And water outages are horrible. Need backup water stored in tanks, containers, jerrycans etc.

This one was close. Here would be a little line up:
