Right, that's what I'm getting at here. The written exam for roadsigns is fine (you just need to write down exactly what the sign is conveying). It's the driving part of the exam that worries me, because there are in fact signs out there in English that drivers need to take care to. If they can't read English, how in the world are they going to know what's going on? I'm imagining a very bad foreign driver driving up to a highway that currently has construction taking place... "I take left turn and speed! Good luck everybody else!"
hahahaha xD but really, if you can't read a few words, like 'detour', and all that stuff, why should you drive here? cuz, we dont have words for signs that much. a library shoes a stick guy with a book and an arrow pointing on way. the lights are colors, so no biggie there. Hospital has a huge H, ( that is kinda obvious) or it has the red + sign. so what is the big deal? if forigners really wanted to drive here, they would take the time to learn the language too. if you are gonna drive here, it means you plan on living in the USA so might as well make a commitment.
