Having reference to what date games are submitted to this site is good. I'm not only talking about games the blog tells us about, I'm talking about the dates of all games submitted.
I too am very curious about the release dates of games, but I think it's sort of up to the developer to put the date of the game's completion inside the game. Of course that would be different from the date of release because it would get released on different dates on different sites. So it seems like a good idea for the site to give a release date like Newgrounds does.

Two problems with that. One: relatively few games are mentioned on the blog. Two: even if it has been blogged about, it may be difficult to find the specific game you're looking for, especially if it came out a long time ago.

I believe Kongregate does that too. I don't think some developers realize that the date isn't there at all. Yeah, I wish they all put the dates in there.
