I honestly don't know if someone made a topic about this but as we all in America know someone put a car bomb in Times Square. They think that this might actually have been towards the people who make South Park due to the racist remarks on the show overtime.

I think that if the jihadis were gonna bomb the US for South Park's remarks, they'd have sent in someone who knows how to make a working bomb. Shazad's said that the reason he tried to bomb Times Square was because of drone attacks on Pakistan, not South Park's rough satire.

I don't care what the reason is, we shouldn't change a thing about ourselves and what we can say. South Park jokes with racism, but it doesn't promote it in any way.

In fact, South Park jokingly denounces racism, which is a positive thing. The NAACP even praised them for the episode where Stan's dad is on Wheel of Fortune and answers 'n****s' for the final puzzle.

I don't think this whole bombing thing in Times Square doesn't affect about South Park. If it was, then they should have a good person to make a car bomb

They should just ban Southpark. It's crude and vulgar and now this. There's no reason why USA can't respect other religions. We could show the world our good faith toward humanity by doing that. I don't care what you guys say about free speech. This is ridiculous.

What is 'this' exactly? Someone on a flash gaming website proposing a connection that doesn't exist? Oh no, raise the alarms, scramble the jets, mobilize the hot dog carts, save the children!

Government should not have the power to intervene and take down South Park. If you dislike it, it's your responsibility to tell people how bad it is, not the government's responsibility.

Censorship is WRONG. The only time censorship is appropriate is in products that parents buy, such as censorship on the computer (parental settings, not netwide censorship) and censorship of anything publicly obscene and inappropriate, such as public nudity.

Nemo . . . I thought it would never happen . . . but in a moment where the impossible turns possible, I think I agree with you.

Yes, censorship is wrong. Very wrong. Just because somebody doesn't like something doesn't mean we should take it away and then coat the world in foam rubber and black bars because of it.

If you Google, you'd see that the police are investigating this.

Well, unless Shazad is lying and doesn't *want* publicity for the cause he almost killed 30 or 40 people for, then there's no connection to South Park.

No, the show is crude and vulgar. It's the responsibility of the parents to block the station, or to raise their kids not to watch the show. If for some reason the parents can't stop their kids from watching such vulgar show, then that's just too bad.

We can't protect children from cushioning adult objects or banning them all together.

I don't get what you just wrote, there's like a double and a half negative.

FYI - The bomb was placed outside Comedy Central's parent company called Viacom.

What I wrote made perfect grammatical sense. Basically, Shazad keeps saying that he did this to protest the drone attacks by the USA in Pakistan. I said that unless he's lying about that and for some reason doesn't want people to know why he did this, then there's no connection to South Park. It would be stupid for Shazad to lie about his motivations because the bomb in the first place was a publicity stunt for his cause.

Also, the bomb was put in Times Square, a place where there's a lot of population density - he would kill more people. He didn't put the bomb outside Viacom, he out it in a busy area so he could kill more people.

Viacom has a huge monopoly. They own A LOT of stations and other forms of media. It could have been a response to South Park's episode. I don't think it really matters though. If it was a response to the episode, then I think no changes should be made. If a terrorist attacks because they are offended so you make it illegal for people to make fun of Mohammad, then the terrorists win, and nothing was proven except that you CAN use terrorism to get your way.
