I find it rather amusing that if someone posts on a game like say the word, "burp", they will get 2 armor points. However, if someone spends hours building a game for the shares and posts it on say, crush the castle players pack thread, they get one point! Yet, if they post it on the comments page of the games and then comment on it, they will get 4 points!
Then, instead of using the comments pages, you directly communicate with everyone's profiles, you can quadruple your points by saying the same crap!
I think that Dan the Man CEO of Armor Games needs to rethink this point system as it is being abused.
Wanna get 4 armor points in a hurry, click on a game - don't even play it, rate it, then comment: "Awesome!".. or whatever... Jeez, comment on your own profile and get two points per pop!
I say this because a lot of true contributors to this site who maintain the true Armor Games integrity, have not been recognized while others, simply cheat the system.
The Armor Points scam is probably good for the web site but, quite frankly, I do not think it helps them... Oxymoron? Time will tell...
*imagine posted-poop about how AG 3.0 is coming out, AP influences activity, it's just a fun little trinket of AG, how nothing will be done about this in the current version, and three more replies saying the same.*
hey look, last month's leader rated a lot of games, and commented a bit. He made more AP in a month than I made last year.
I do agree AP should be taken out of rating games & game comments.
This argument has been going on forever. Yes, it's dumb, but with a bit of luck and though, the admins will change this in AG 3.0.

I don't get this:
1. He writes a spam comment (burp) 2. He rates the game (4 AP now) 3. The rest?
Yeah, forum AP is kinda low compared to comments, and forumers have often complained. I wonder why admins did this in the first place. Maybe they thought it would be used differently than it is now.
I know there is alot of that but why should I care, they can do watever they want. To get AP they can spam and get 500AP per day, and what are they gonna get when then reach 10000AP, nothing, they will get nothing how ever armor points they have, they will get nothing, and only thing they will get are comments one their profile saing: "spammer"
I joined recently, and I make sure I don't just make a random spam comment. I actually give feedback on the game, what I like about it, and what I think should be changed...
What's the difference between nothing(2ap) and nothing(1ap)? What I'm saying is that AP isn't that big of a deal. Besides, when someone looks at your profile, forum posts are valued more.

I agree with you Plokkey...AP aren't a big deal. I stopped caring about mine when I got to knight...and that was back in the summer of 2008.
It's better for your time on the site if you don't worry about AP.
Yeah, worry about your points on a different site. AG wasn't made to revolve around achievement/point acquisition and bragging rights. If you want that, go to Kongregate. Probably the most valued things when it comes to your profile would be your forum posts and maybe your merits.
Removing the AP from comments and game rating, or finding an another appropriate solution would clear things up however. Thus I agree.
You can earn merits without earning AP. If the post is good and worthy, it will be bestowed a merit, and it will gain you 25 (?) Ap. Read merits thread here:

That's a good habit. Sometimes I wonder how people can spam, it just doesn't feel right...

Agreed. Though AP has no value other than 'roving how much you write' (It does not reflect how good you write), it is kind of dumb when you look at a newbie who comments like nuts, and is ranked higher than you, which many people believe shows how active you are. The great forumers and merit writers should be at the top, not
exactly, although I can't help but laugh every time I see the month leaders, It's ridiculous we're only nine days in and some one's earned a 1000 AP if that's not spam, I don't know what it is.
