What I ment was even though we observe these different cultural holdidays, We could be called racist for even mentioning an American history month. I was called racisit for mentioning that at my school.
We might not have an american history month, but we have american history day, i.e. Fourth of July... How's it racist all the above is different peoples, america is called a melting pot for a reason. An american history month would celebrate all the trail and tribulations that the people of this country have undergone to make it what it is today.

On the main topic, I think that Cinco de Mayo is overdone. Its just a celebration of the day some Mexican militia beat part of the Napoleons army. Its a feat that should be remembered, but it should not have this much celebration.
