Sometimes when I hit enter, the post that I was typing will be submitted when I didn't wanted to be submitted. I'm suggesting to Armor Games to make the Submit button... Well, submit your post when you only click on the button. Not the enter key or anything else, just your left mouse button.

That should happen, as the enter button skips a line.

I'm doing that right now.

Solution - Do not hit the enter key while posting. If it happens when you're trying to skip a line, post in Wordpad or something, cut and paste, and submit.

lmfao That never happens to me. I ALWAYS use the enter key to post game comments and forum posts.....It's probably a problem with your keyboard. Maybe? :|

A good idea would be to write stuff in notepad, as already mentioned, or keep an eye on where your cursor is. If you click outside the writing area, an enter will be related to the submit-button rather than a linebreak.
Same goes with backspace, that will take you back a page, if you have clicked outside of the text-box.

Yeah, the backspace thing annoys. Make sure the text box is your currently active window.

Oh, and Cenere I prefer not to use Notepad as it has messed up spacing in the past. That's why I use Wordpad. Though most basic text editors are fine.

I assumed that to be true for me too, though I tried doing that and nothing occurred.

Wordpad has the same problem as Word. It might end up with a number of errors due to signs not being enabled in AG. I go by notepad, and it works fine as long as you know how to handle it.

I am assuming it would be the problem. I haven't tried it.

Strangely, I've never had a problem with Wordpad. I've used Word too, and I still get those formatting glitches.

Use Notepad and never push the return button if you only intend a linebreak. The linebreaks will be inserted by the "forum engine" properly. And if you want to see the whole thing you write while you are not linebreaking yourself you should format Notepad with automatic linebreaks, because otherwise the lines extend beyond the right border of the screen. Perhaps this will fix some of your problems

Click the forward button to go back to the page you were on. The text that you were typing should probably be there again.

And thanks for the advice! I only use notepad for saving but not actually using it completely.

(whoops submitted without posting a thing. Ironic, huh?)

I've had some moments where I'm in my writer moments and hit TAB when making posts. Of course tab doesn't work in this case; it instead takes off the pointer so you can't type anymore and moves a perforated line around buttons, most often the submit button since it's next in line. This is all old-style computer navigation by the way. But you know how close the TAB button is to the A button?? Very close XD

So when I DO hit TAB and enter, my unfinished post is posted and I look like a fool when I finish it XD

I think I need Lazarus for that. I have never been able to save my posts that way, which obviously makes a rather annoyed Cen at times. Another reason for my paranoid copying the post before submitting, since disconnection is horribly, horribly annoying.

Anyway, this seem to have been answered, at least with a good deal of advice for how to get around it, what to do and what not to and so on, so I am going to lock it for now. When the programmers and developers have more time to look at the forums (after the release of ver3.0?), it could be brought up again, in case it is a problem.
