for some reason, starting a week ago, whenever i go around the armorgames forums my avira antivirus thingy pops up and tells me it's detected TWO infected virus on certain webpages around the AG forums, then it gives me a list of options of what to do with the virus. (ie: quarantine, block, destroy, allow acces etc. etc.) sometimes this happens, sometimes it doesn't, but it's annoying!! does anyone else have this problem?

Well, scan your computer completely. Then scan it with anti-malware and anti-spyware. Just see what happens.

Few people suffer from "viruses" while browsing this site. Though the ones that do seem to be constantly plagued. I don't have a clue as to why this is.

I have heard that some legit sites can be hosting ads that can contain viruses without even knowing about it, but that may not be the issue here since it happens on particular webpages. It may have something to do with the way your virus scanner works. Mine never gives me any issues with this site, so I can't say I share your problem, but I would go with what knight suggested and do a virus scan anyways.

Scan it with AVG and Malware Bytes ... If no virus show up on those Programs then it's all good!

Kaspersky PURE has given it's ok to AG so i guess it's alright. Don't have a clue as to why this should happen.......Maybe you are also using another site in another tab and that site is the cause of this problem???

They are not actually viruses. They are tracking cookies from certain ads you click on/may pop up.

Malicious? No. Slightly annoying? Yes.

I forgot all about that.

Some scanners are overzealous, or justified (depending on how you see it and the circumstances) when it comes to cookies.

Unless your computer is actually going haywire (noted one person claiming that AG made this happen), there's nothing to worry about.

Lol I would liked to see what Kimchi said if you told him that he was triggering the virus firewall on your computer.

Hmm..

I forgot something.

If you ever find yourself at armorgame.com or armorbot.com DO NOT LOG IN! Those sites are scams and will definitely steal your account. I don't know about viruses, malware, and spyware, but it's possible that those sites are ridden with them.

Crashman, I think you mean Internet Explore nastied up your cousin's Windows 7.

Most phishing websites don't bother with malware. Once they've got the account they aim to get they don't need to give you malware. Secondly, phishing sites are subtle, most people don't realise it's a scam, malware alerts the person and they're more likely to act. Thirdly, malware is used primarily to obtain something profitable, for example, bank details. The majority of Armor Games users are teenagers and so if whomever is hosting those websites was going to put malware on your computer it would be wiser to target websites with an older community.

Lastly, if you find it likely that them websites have malware why link to them? O_o

Like Devoidless said, it's probably tracking cookies, some virus scanners will alert you about tracking cookies as if they're a serious problem when really they're fine. Normally they are contracted from advertisements because the advertisers need to know what appeals to you (as far as I know) so it would make sense that you were alerted about something like a tracking cookie on AG. Nothing to worry about. Avira's quite reliable and would tell you in the full scan results whether or not you'd contracted a virus. To double check download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and some anti-spyware program. Malwarebytes is extremely good. Also, some point in the future you might want to upgrade your antivirus to something better like Kaspersky.

Anyhow, sorry for any mishaps on your computer. I completely blew the virus out of my laptop is no worries any more

I've actually seen some people who were led to those sites. They come up frequently in Google searches relating to AG.
