Agreed. I joined some potential RPGs now and some of them are rather inactive. It's rpg's that make forum games fun and interactive. But if everyone's inactive, it's pretty dead right?
Well, all I gotta say is, if you wanna make an RPG, put some thought into it and make sure you have the time and responsibility to take care of it.
1) People make RPGs and people quit because it wasn't organized, cliche, and otherwise very inefficient.
2) People make RPGs and decide (for whatever reason) to quit or become inactive, even though it was a pretty decent RPG. That wastes people's time and doesn't bode well for your 'fame' or 'likeness'.
I've thought about making one... I'm just not sure if people will join. I also wanna make it large and complex, with simple rules

Yeah but the same pretty much counts for the players. They think they know how to RPG but find out RPG is different than what they thought. I've made a few forum RPGs and I've joined a few and those really teach you to RPG.

If the subjects interests me, I'm in. Mainly consists of teamwork and survival, but maybe you might make something I will like aswell. Give it a try if you're ready!
I made a RPG once, great RPG, but... it was a story RPG, the holidays ended up finishing and I had to drop out. Now I'm trying another RPG (the same one actually), this time I have time to do it though.
