Why not a Meebo Bar on AG? You just add your friends and there's no spamming or abuse, cause it's just your friends, and you have control over who goes on your bar or not.
Sorry if this was addressed before with all the other chatroom suggestions, but it's not really a chatroom. So if you have to lock it, well, I had to at least suggest it.
@Yodadude53. It is Meebo bar. AG just puts it on their site. It connects all the users of AG, and you control who chats with you. There's no need for mods, cause if they say stupid stuff, you just block them.
If you need hints on a game, you could just talk to your AG friends who are playing it, while you're playing it, it just doesn't matter if there on AIM or not. Also, if you find a cool game, then you could tell your AIM friends about it, cause it also connects to them.
If you don't want it, then you just turn it off on your control panel.
Which is obviously why we want people to use third party stuff unrelated to AG, and doing so on their own behalf. That way they can't come running to us whenever they burn themselves. If this was implemented (which is unlikely, considering it is third party property, it is unoriginal, and it most likely will go to hell like the chat whatever you say), there would go a week, maybe two, before someone comes running and reports someone else for ignoring them, or spamming or looking at them the wrong way, and it would be our problem again. "Tell him to stop blocking meeeee!!" "He keeps harassing me, and I have blocked him, but you should ban him anyway!!!" ("What did he do?" "Harassed me!!" "Do you have evidence?" "... F U!!" "*person* hacked *game*!! I know it, because he wouldn't be able to break my highscore without cheating!!!"
Yes Cen, I'd rather them use their own XFire AG accounts and have them track their own highscores and hours being put into their hardwork. They may even make a few friends and chat while they're at it! Much better than this Meebo thing.
Indeed. Generally, if it is not directly AG, mods don't care. Why? Because it is not out problem, even if both people are AG users. You can flame, troll, and being a total idiot outside of AG, you could, generally (not saying you should) go about and harass whoever you want, as long as you don't take it to AG. The moment the harassment happens on AG, mods are there. I guess, even taking transcripts of the harassment, and posting it on AG will count as it being on AG The problem there is just that if you do that, even if you are the victim, you will be at least warned, because it would be posting a thread about an individual user, it could contain swearing and other rules breaks, and the ones that posts it will be the one responsible, so it most likely would not work at all. So, I support everything that will not be made my responsibility or problem. xFire would probably be a good call.
It even has a "block user" feature so if a pesky 420 or Lige-alike starts trolling you, you can have them not join any chats or games that you are in. Aside from that, there are many things you can do on Xfire. Heck if enough people make one involving AG, I was gonna make a mini-clan to show how much fun AG is. I'm up to 120 hours on this thing.
Can i be a mod since I like to help and i do not!! like hackers
1. Do you think you deserve to be a mod, considering you are not interested in reading the rules, the stickies and other important documents, as well as posting offtopic for no reason in a thread totally unrelated to your question? 2. Mods don't take care of hackers.
I will lock this, considering it has come to the conclusion that it is not going to happen any time soon, and if people want something like it implemented, they will have to do it themselves.
