Story: The year is 3719. The human race has spread among thousands of star systems all under the banner of an imperialistic Earth. Three months ago all contact with Earth was lost due to series of violent coups and sabotages. In the remnants of this the Imperium has been overthrown. Now you are left with the task of filling in the void that has been left by the fall of the Imperium.
Rules: In this game your goal is to take control of Earth's shattered Imperium. To do this you will have to build armadas of ships, invade other colonies with your armies, colonize new planets, engage in diplomacy and espionage.
Each player starts off on their homeworld as a Govenor (title may be changed after first post). Please note that ONE person may start on Earth, but it will be extremely challenging. Here is the character chart below:
Planet:<insert name> Name:<insert name> Title: Govenor (may change after first post) Government: Diplomatic (may change after first post) Technology Specialization: (choose 2 but be reasonable) Army Size: 10,000 (grows as you recruit) Number of Ships: 0 Special Resource: (Optional)
Note: Please be reasonable and clearly state all moves made. Any unreasonable or unrealistic moves/senarios will be edited in my posts. For the most part I leave you to choose your own path and what events befall you. The game will run in game time but nothing is allowed to be instant.
Planet: Draken IV Name: Paul Wolfe Title: Duke Government: Theocracy Technology Specialization: Genetic Engineering and Espionage Army Size: 20,000 Number of Ships: 1,029 Special Resource: None
Planet:Exathra Name: Bob Title: High Councilman Government: Confederation--each planet...er...meh, sends two representatives... Technology Specialization: Pulse technology, shielding Army Size: 20,000 Number of Ships: 1029 Special Resource: Bose-einstein condensate
Anyway, in those five years, I started on a tachyon drive, which can bring a ship to above-light speeds. However, it takes time and energy to recharge. The current drive is still in its prototype phase--it sometimes may decide to not work or blow up.
All my ships use ion engines for sublight propulsion and power.
However, my population is restless, and they want to expand...we decide to send colony ships and cargo ships to Minuete--Exathra's moon. It is escorted by one cruiser for anything that might happen.
Should I give specifications for all of my ships? Also, approx. when should the tachyon drive project complete?

The population is in an uproar and hungry for blood. I hold several public executions and thanks to project New Life there is no shortage of criminal blood. However this frenzy will not be contained for much longer.
To Everyone: Draw up a spec sheet for each ship you have. Each ship is allowed a main and secondary weapon. Please also specify armor in thousands of tons so if you put 4 that means your ship has 4000 tons of armor. Furthermore put the type of engine your ships run on.

READ MY POST ON THE UPDATED SITUATION! BECAUSE PEOPLE LACKED COMMON SENSE! HINT
Hmm, only two weapons each...well, general rules: Looking@the picture, combat ships have mainly railguns equipped. THe heavy cruiser counts as a combat ship...for a secondary weapon, they use ion tracker (long range) or sabot (shorter range unguided) or anti-radar (short range guided) missiles.
Assault ships have mainly chemical lasers and fusion torpedoes. For the assault dreadnought (destroyer here), the torpedoes are replaced with ion cannons.
Missile ships have.. a lot.... of ion tracker missiles. And soem proton cruise missiles (long range, slow, bad tracking, but high damage and splash...lower fire rate)
For the corvettes--sensor actually has guns/torpedoes, recon has beacons/countermeasures/counter-countermeasures. For the frigates, the attack frigate has guns/missiles, the sensor frigate is a bigger recon scout.
The minelayers use thermo-nuclear mines, and escort/picket ships have chemical lasers, but covering all angles (assault mostly have them in front)
The command carrier has stuff for building, mining, and a lot of fighters...
Fighter specs... F-29 Steelhead--assault fighter, armed with a light railgun for shooting ships. FI-8 Gamma--interceptor, armed with a light chemical beam laser for shooting other fighters (or ships if you want) XB-11 Annhilator---carrier based bomber, launches bombs at planets...I have pics of the fighters.
By the way--the missile dreadnought (destroyer) did not make an appearance D:...it's the *old* dreadnought hull.
