"Extra Extra! Alain life found on distant planet! Seem to be intelligent...."

"Extra extra! Alain species has hijacked a human ship and have begun learning how to make it!"

"Extra extra! War declared on alien species dubbed as "Greens""

Those are the news reports you have been reading for the last few weeks. Alain war? Who's crack pot idea was this? It is 2012 all over again! Yet, you take the precision of arming yourself slightly as you go around your daily routines, witch is a good thing since everyone is in a state of panic, fighting and mugging go around regularly on the streets. Yet they see your weapon and run. When you walk home, you hear a third new cast....

"Extra! Extra! Alain launched first assault! War machines and infantry of both species run around all over Ontario!"

Ontario, you think, is no were near were you live. You will be fine. After all, we entered there planet, not the other way around. How little do you know?!

I will act as the DM for this game. It is mildly based of War Of the Worlds, the classic book, but only extremely mildly.

It takes place in modern world, some will start out in dense city populations while others in less populated arias.

Standard RP rules

Character sheet:
Name:
Age:
Weapon*:
Job*:
Bio:

*The weapon you have will depend on your job and location for the most part, such as if your a doctor you will not have a bazooka and if you live in the country you will likely have a shotgun or hunting rifle while if you are in the city you will more likely have a pistol or other hand gun. Also, you may choose melee weapons and will have the chance to later change weapons. Guns have ammo, and depending on your job again, it will depend how much you have ex a plumber has a lot of pockets thus can store more ammo then an athlete who doesn't have pockets.

* Your jobs can be nearly anything, and your jobs will create your constitution and skills. Such as a mobster would have pretty good gun control and a medium constitution and a body builder would have good constitution. It has to be a real job, and one a human can do.

Feel free to make a suggestion, as long as we are not in the middle of the game. Try not to come in late, as it may be difficult to place you in a good place.

You live in the big city(Perfect for pick pockets). This chaos gives you the perfect environment for petty crime. And you seem to be in luck. The owner of the nearby museum is skipping town to move back to Europe, or so you have been told, and the moving van comes to day. The entire museum will be moved, including the medieval weapons exhibit. The alarm system is turned off for the movers, so you may take the chance, though the movers are strong and may spot you if you are unlucky. Being a pickpocket may help you sneak, but once again if they spot you you are in trouble.

Or, of course, you can go to the local baker to get some food and water. But he is nervous about the riots, so he hired a few guards to keep order in his store, and it has currently been working. Robbing there is dangerous though rewarding with life giving food.

Or, you can pick pocket random pedestrians. It has a level of danger if you are caught, witch rises depending on who you attempt to pick pocket. You could get money, which may be useful, and a variety of weapons if you are lucky.

These are just suggestions stating your current environment. Feel free to do anything in the realm of possibility.

You walk to the museum with no problems, but you see two big moving men at the entrance. It is a large entrance, so you should be able to get in with no trouble. The moving men just finished putting a mummy in the back of the van and return in the store. You decide to fallow them, as stealthy as you can. You are lucky, as you are on carpet and make little noise. You are coming up to the dinosaur exhibit, and on the other side the medieval weapons. Your luck holds out, and one of the moving men starts complaining, which hides the sound of your footsteps as you walk over the loud tiles. Everything is in boxes, and both of them start picking up one of them, the complaining one groaned and closed his eyes. Taking your chance, you sprint to the medieval exhibit. You look around. Genuine armor is on the wall, as well as an assortment of medieval weapons. Choose carefully, you don't have much room to hold things. The armor my slow you down and make a spectacle, but it will offer sufficient protection from melee weapons. You don't have a back pack, but you can carry weapons in your hands. Choose carefully.

What do you choose?

You look around your new surroundings. You are a veteran, but this is the biggest fort you have ever seen. It must be several acres long. You have seen about twenty transport cars, and you have only been here five minuets. Tanks go by every few seconds. An officer approaches you.
"Welcome! I can not go threw the usual formalities, I am short on time. Here is what is happening. The Greens have landed in the motherland, and have already destroyed a town. They are reported to be heading to Moscow, and destroy everything in its path while entering. We can't afford any screw up, so we have this fort of all forts. I don't have time to look at your resume, so hurry up and choose your weapon!"

You look. In the back of his jeep there are the standard weapons, Ak-47s, RPG-9s, the lot of it. You also put on a full military uniform, bullet proof vests and pockets all. On top of the weapon you are about to choose you get a standard knife.

No one seems to know what your up against, so one weapon is as good as another... What do you do?

You put the dagger in your pocket and get the feel of the longsword. It is like it was made for you. You start heading for the exit when the moving men start coming back, and you dive to the side. But instead of picking up another bock they continue running, and you can see terror on there face. Lucky break, you think. You continue walking to the door, when you spot a silhouette of a four legged creature, tall as a man, with a bearlike head and body. You stand still. It turns out it was a bear, must be a problem at the zoo. The bear looks at you, then stands on two legs growls.

You look around your quite village, it is peaceful, especially compared to the towns in the news. You moved to this backwoods town after you retired from being a sniper, and the only thing you have shot since then has been deer. The local population is small, keeping crime to the minimum even now. They mayor has taken some minor productions to keep the people safe, a small bunker. But you have been a fighter for long enough to notice the enemy strategy. They seem to attack small villages in each country first, then go on a destructive march threw the country. You put on your old uniform and grab your hunting rifle, filling your pockets with ammo. You go to the butcher in hopes of getting jerky, you are his friend and had just sent a deer to him yesterday, and think jerky would be a good emergency ration. Then once you had the food, you step out of the butcher shop prepared for anything.

After choosing your weapon, you turn around to find the officer has left. Though the cab man who drove you there speaks to you.

"A sniper, ah? Well, the officer had to raise cannons on the walls, but he left me instructions for you to take a post. Its a wonder with all these men, how we are short handed. I am on my way to the barracks with some assault troops who have little use on the walls, I could drop you off at the wall if you wish"

You saw the way up the wall, it was a steel ladder going up the wall. It is about a mile away. You could walk, though it may be dangerous with all the vehicles driving.

Or, you could go exploring around this huge place, possibly gaining more weaponry, but may be considered insubordination.

Remember, these are just suggestions and you can do anything in the realm of possibility.

You start walking back slowly, and the bear steps back on all fours and advances slowly. You then see that it is getting into charging position and dive into the nearest room. You hear some heavy footsteps, so you step back away from the door and draw your sword. You hear some more footsteps and a man's scream. Then the footsteps lessened and eventually faded. You look around. You are in an old fashioned weapon display.

You could make a small bomb out of the black powder in the room, putting it in your pocket. It may be dangerous if you are found possessing it and if it discharges early. But it could be a useful weapon and escape tool.

You could turn back, risk getting a bear attack, and return to the street, were you can easily find food and water but there is the danger of crime.

You could go to sleep, reviving your energy and steadying your nerves. You also won't have to eat or drink as much if you sleep. You run the risk of being raided in your sleep or being attacked in your sleep though, both effects are lessened by the door and remote aria.

Still just suggestions.

You find the highest point in the village, a church upon a hill. You climb to the top and set a tree stand on the roof. You can see the woulds were you hunt, they could sneak in from there. A little to the right of that is a lake, witch would make a good point to enter from space. Next to the lake is a river, a fast flowing one to. It is doubtful they could enter from there. On the other side is the village, with miles of farm ending in a plane which becomes a desert in several miles. That also seemed unlikely you would be attacked. You set the tree stand facing the general direction of the forest and lake.

After a few hours of your routine, it starts to get dark. Dark, you think, of course they would come at night, that is when we are facing them. You can't see, so you put a laser sighting on your rifle for guaranteed hits. After another hour, you see something.
It is a hunting buddy of yours, in a hunting suit. He sees your laser sighting.
"He Stalin, what the hell are you doing up there?"

Do you tell him the truth, possibly making you get down, but possibly helping your party and possibly not telling the priests about it?

Do lie, with little risk depending on your lie?
