In light of the recent incident concerning North and South Korea, do you think that hostilities between the two countries will start up again? Granted that the North has tried to provoke the South on many occasions(even attempting to assassinate a South Korean President...twice),but this time the North has allegedly sunk a military warship with a torpedo. Could this be the straw that breaks the camel's back?

I assumed that you meant a full on nuke - not the big boom little radiation variety, although there will still be nuclear fallout. Also, why not use a F.O.A.B instead? Much more powerful (and Russian).

Good point. a F.O.A.B. would be better.

You realize that absolutely EVERYONE in North Korea has a form of firearm and is part of the military?

EVERYONE.

Yes, that guy with the cat is part of the military.

So is his grandma. They are not innocent.

Im sorry but your point is totally stupid, They are lead by a dictator which they have no power against, they don't choose to have weapons and be a part of the army they are forced to.

They ARE innocent victims of their own government, if you are going to debate then don't be ignorant.

Bah, one Tsar Bomba would terminate the entire country, and due to its height, the nuclear radiation is dispersed so far and wide that it becomes nearly harmless.

Oh right, non nuclear methods.

We should develop a huge conventional ICBM. That would be awesome.

A thermobaric ICBM would be pretty much the strongest conventional weapon that we would be able to make.

Hurray for vacuum bombs, eh?

Hell ya.

Anyways, I forgot my opinion on this.

I say we should just send some of our handy little CIA assassins and take out Kim and his son. That would be the end of our problems for the time being. (don't forget the temporary puppet government lest they fall into chaos)

North Korea is (in a metaphorical sense) the yipping chihuahua of the world.

Could not agree more. What Korea does wont really matter in the long run (unless we nuke them) too small no one likes them. Just let them yip and if they get too loud shut the window.

Let them yip until they bite us in the leg, then take out all of their teeth is what I say. Or their entire mouth.

A single JDAM would probably be enough to take out them and most of the rest of their command structure.

yet whenever US tries to pull teeth from anyone it makes us look like bad guy.

That's why I said to let them bite us first, then it would be a precautionary defense against them doing it again, and they would look like the bad guy.

Their SAMs would have our planes down in under 30 seconds.

We need stealth.

@pHacon

Yes, I don't know what kind of fool wouldn't want to make North Korea the one looking bad.

Honestly, it wouldn't be tough to utterly annihilate North Korea. The problem lies with the reactions to destroying North Korea. Darn allies.
