Do you think you could spend 520 days with someone in the same room? Well astronaunts are preparing for a possible misson for mars and are having astronaunts prepare for it by just this very thing. They have no internet or tv.
What I found funny about it is, in the video it said they'll come out in 2011. But then the Mars misson will take 520 days to get there, spend a month and then come back.

That would be worse. Once they run out of stories to tell and bad jokes that aren't even funny, they'll start looking for other ways to pass the time. Like playing jokes on each other. Which, while seeming immature to us for grown adults, will be the last level of entertainment they'll have left.
This is rather unique, since you have a bunch of guys staying together in a simulated space environment for 520 days. The record for longest single spaceflight is 437 days. With a slightly longer amount of time, six people doing it together and the fact that they are still on Earth, this ought to be interesting. It's necessary if humanity is ever to go to Mars.
I become nauseous just thinking about that, I'd probably come out of more sound mind being alone for 520 than with people, that would likely make me a murderer.
I'm sure they should have some sort of entertainment other than each-other, on the actual flight, right? Plus they would have jobs to do on the flight, aside from the experiments they'll be performing, so they should come out normal.
Well, I hope they already get along with each other extremely well. They do, but they can only have entertainment they'd have in space. Oh, and they do have jobs, though not too many. Hey, they exercise a lot. I don't know the relevance though.
Well, they aren't even going to leave Earth. They're under an experiment where they'll be closely watched, so if anything horrible happens they'll have help.
What will you do in a shuttle for 520 days and how will they fit food in there that will last almost 2 years. I hope they can survive on nothing but twinkies because that's the only thing i can think of that lasts more than 2 years.
