At first, I want to make sure noone feels offended by anything I post. I have complete respect for the islam, and my best friend is a muslim. Do not think I use this as a conspiracy or hatebreeding, I just want to know what you guys think. Thank you!

Alright, the thing is, islam is spreading rather fast. I wouldn't mind if it wouldn't bring any problems with it, but unfortunatly, it does. Every religion brings trouble besides the good it brings, but I wanted to disucss the "risk" of islam spreading this quickly. If I would write something similar to the Koran, I would be arrested for hatebreeding. The koran contains a few good things, like the peacefull time of the prophet, but also a big part of the violent parts of the time of the prophet. beating woman, slaves, wars, etc. This is what some muslims get taught to do. They get taught to be the boss, dominant, above all. They think of christians, atheists etc as lesser creatures, and they treat them this way. It's a small minority that does follow this path, but what if more people would start to follow it?

Once again: NO disprespect. I have respect of EVERY religion in the world. I just want to discuss the dangers of the islam. (NOT that the islam only brings dangers!!)

Of course there's a risk of there being more radicals when the religion is growing. That's simple logic.

That is the point I doubt. It can take 3 turns. Either, a small group of muslims will stand up and "enlighten" The islam like in the renaissance for the christians, or radical muslims take over bigger parts of the world, instilling fear in the local folks. A third way, would be neutral and it would remain pretty much as it was.

Relative, I suppose

I actually mean the other way, but you're indeed right. They see themselves that way, but the way I meant was actually like, reading the Koran in a different manner. Not taking eveyrthing serious and things, like happened with the bible. I think if this happens, Islam would become a much more popular, less radical and more effective religion.

Christians believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation but that doesnt mean we are above all other simply that we have disovered the truth.

The truth is that Jesus you know is a prophet himself in islam, and he also teaching the bible. But the jesus you know is not the jesus you know and the bible is not too, because it has been changed by the earliest pope. That means its not true

I think that there is no threat of Islam growth, but i still cant understand what you mean with radical islam. Is "radical" is what you meaning with"bad" or "wrong" ones ? because i know that there are "wrong" teachings of Islams. This is considered astray and should not believed. In other words, its dangerous...

Pretty much those who believe and follow ALL that the qu'ran says.
especially the version of the jihad that tells muslim to exterminate "Heretics"

But, then again, christianity was enlightened and people look differently towards the bible. I think this should happen with the qu'ran too. Some texts are good, some are pure hatebreeding.

OK. Let me clear this up. By 'radical', he basically means the hillbillies of the Islamic world. Get it?

Islam is what it is and I'm not worried about it's spread as I'm sure it will not make much headway into the western world and culture.

Also if you have opinions you would like to discuss about Christianity please do it on the "God Debates" thread so your questions can be answered.

All religions have periods of great influence. With the political situation globally the spread of Islam is nothing to be surprised at

Islam is like any other religion there are stories of slaves, wars, etc.

I really don't see Islam as a threat, except if we consider every religion as a threat.

The thing I don't like with Islam is the burqa, because when get out of your home and you walk in the street you have to show your face, everybody has to see who are you.

I dont even think it can even grow to half of europe, because some or evne many islamic country even have problems about their own beliefs of islams. Many says "I'm a Muslim" but they dont pray. And these people are not few but there is alot of them. So how can it effect western countries ?

*face palm* How the hell do you manage that? Glabally indicates the entire world not just America >.> If you are not aware of this fun fact Islam is being twisted by fanatics into a Western World hating religion. So with this going on across the globe I am in no way shape or form shocked that Islam is growing, especially when it is being manipulated to suit the needs and desires of others.
