but he's the rythm guitarist... Definatly DAVE MUSTAINE of Megadeth. Go listen to ' Into The Lungs Of Hell '. the tapping, rythm, and drums compliment each other instrument in the song.

No, i won't. Just because he's the rythm guitarist that doesn't mean he isn't one of the best guitarist ever. He's got some of the best riffs ever and i admire him for that, i don't give a crap about shredding and all that shit.

Cliff Burton. Bass guitar is still a guitar, and I will punch you with the internet if you say otherwise.

As for standard guitars, I like Kerry King and Kirk Hammett. Angus Young is one of the most underrated guitarists ever but he's pretty good. One of the best as far as I'm concerned.

honestly i find jimmy hendrix abit over rated. i mean ya i like his music but theres many many many many guitarists nowadays that are better then he was. ex: buckethead, JP, and Larry LaLonde who was MASSIVELY over shadowed by claypool.

well buckethead is currently number 1 on all time greatest guitarists list. JP stands for john pettruci who is apart of the band dream theater, and larry LaLonda was apart of the band primus with les clay pool on bass and tim alexander on drums.

butt ya elvis was a beast and it was a shame that he died but you cant be a good respectable musician of you die from drugs in youre prime.
