Well I have another rank suggestion. Maybe if you could add Emperor after king? And instead of having just wood, silver, then gold, maybe you could add in 2 so it would be like this: Wood, Silver, Gold, Platoon, Diamond.
To sum it up, could you perhaps add: Emperor Platoon and Diamond.
So you are approaching the summit and now you want something more. I think that ranks are good as they are, everything on this site is. And besides, adding two more rows for diamond and platinum (platoon is a military unit) would ruin the aesthetics of user's profile.

I wouldn't take that as a problem... I mean, look at the armatars. They are full of insects and animals. Not i think it would ruin anything. But i see ur point. However, its not a problem cause of the armatars.
and no this has already be suggested like a million times and how many people are king? Only a marginally tiny part of users. There is no point catering to them.
I don't really care about the ranks, but I think it's best to just leave them the way they are. No point in going to all sorts of trouble just to add some new ranks, especially when there's less then 100 people who have even reached wooden king.

Adding an Emperor rank is one of the more agreed upon measures I've seen (looking at past threads). However, there are only around nineteen gold kings/queens. Do we need an Emperor rank now? If we put it in, Firetail will get Gold Emperor or whatever's highest, automatically, seeing as he has a motherload of points. Anyway, I think this is more appropriate when the number of gold kings/queens quadruples or quintuples.
As for more tiers for each rank, I think three are enough. Higher AP requirements would be unpopular hmm.. It's nice having more than three, but they aren't direly needed.
Remember, medieval themes. I think MrDayCee's proposal from last month was really good.

The amount of AP between the ranks would have to be shrunk (Unless we bumped up the ranks, meaning many of us would go down, and you bet quite a few people will be unhappy). Imagine if a newbie went through five on his first day or week! It would be really weird...
Also, diamond and Platinum are not fitting names. diamond serf? If I remember right, serf's were peasants who were owned by superiors, and that makes them sound rich... Perhaps other names?

That's a big debated topic, mainly since it would be a rank very, very few have/would ever achieved. It would most likely have to be in the 20,000s and well, only 12 people have gotten there.

True, there is no major need at the moment. And there probably on't be for some time... AG has been around for over two years, and not that many people have gotten there yet.

I think top 10 users would hate to see firetail as gold emperor, while they have wood or iron emperor. Gold is the color of kings... Or queens.

I forgot to say that I wouldn't really mind him getting it automatically. Yes they would, but that wouldn't be much of a problem though. Isn't the fact that he's already 20,000 points ahead of anyone else already disconcerting?

Not really, I've mostly seen agreements considering the Emperor rank, though the usual consensus is that it isn't needed now and should be put in eventually. It doesn't seem all too bad having twelve people ranked Emperor/Empress, but we need dozens more Kings/Queens first.

What names do you have in mind? Gold Serf isn't fitting too. Two ranks above Gold would be Platinum and Diamond. For now I only support putting in Platinum. Though I do support doing this, I am not going to actively pursue its implementation.

ya i think 2 more would be nice but an extra ranking is a bit much considering it takes forever to get a very high ranking cuz of low point distrbution
