but dont get me wrong though. i think corey taylor is one of the greatest singers of the 21'st century, the guy has an amazing voice when hes not doing his shitty screaming.
Megadeth FTW. But in this thread i spose metallica. They have 4 ppl as opposed to the 8 or 9 ppl in slipknot. Kirk Hammett shreds better than Mick Thompson and metallicas been around more and more ppl have felt comfortable with the music b/c its not to light or too heavy.
Metallica has some great song but i'm not into that Genre, Slipknot has really good songs like PsychoSocial, Before I forhet, Vermilion Pt.2, Banger Keep Away, Duality, and Dead Memories

And a band isn't better than another band just for being heavier, that's for people who like to pretend they're badas$, when in fact they're just a bunch of posers. As for who's better, i have to say Metallica, you can't even compare them.

Did any of them put out an album as influential as "Master of Puppets"? I don't think so. And about those "old" bands that are better than Metallica, maybe they are, maybe they're not, but they certainly are some of the world's best bands ever.
