Metallica is by far better than Slipknot. Listen to just one song off Ride the Lightning and it'll make Slipknot's entire discography look like ****. I am seriously not kidding.
well i personally believe in Metallica... they've got the greatest hits, Kirk is one of the best guitarists and james knows his words on lyrics... i do respect slipknot too,but i feel much better with metallica
seek and destroy enter sandman sad but true master of puppets ride the lightening fade to black one harvester of sorrow the day that never comes all nightmare long well when a band makes one hell of the hits like this, it shows that theyr still rocking for a reason...30 years man... being in the rock&roll hall of fame...having the 7th greatest solo and the 11th greatest guitarist of all time... they are one of the biggest(if not the biggest) heavy metal band of all time
I feel that putting metallica agaisnt slipknot is like tangerines s oranges. For example Slipknot an Metallica have different styles Slipknot sticks to screaming in somewhat melodic ways and metallica sticks to some pretty awesome guitar. The bands are also from two different time periods and genres. Metallica is like one of the pioneers of metal more or less and Slipknot is like the motor or something keeping metal going.
both suck. metallica just sucks less (at least they have good songs)
@bsb4ever thats a little too mainstream right there. some REAL metallica songs: Holier Than Thou, Dyers Eve, Disposable Heroes, My World [STFU mainstream lovers. that song is epic. better than most of the stuff from And Justice For All and The Black Album. MY WORLD FTW!!!!], The End Of The Line
once you have listened to all of those songs, u can re ajust your favorites lists. peace off
You cant really compare Metallica, one of the best metal bands ever
to Slipknot , the only good slipknot album so far is All Hope Is Gone and only good songs are Phychosocial-which is actually really awsome Dead Memories-also really good Before I Forget- should have a guqaitar solo wait and bleed- good tune but to short a song
