Yeah, I'm hella happy we're out. Now just to relax from learning. It'll probably be more active here too.

I'm with you guys, I think year-round school would be torture. I don't like it already and now it might be year-round? Sidenote: Our school district is also thinking about making us wear uniforms at a public school. -.-

I enjoy a long 3-month break too, but I'm also quite good with three two week breaks and 6 week or so break at the end of the year, as school isn't too brutal here.

What exactly do you mean by year long?
Are you talking about actually going to school, no breaks but the weekends, all year, changing classes every few months?

My school district is thinking of implementing a year-round schedule the year after I graduate, but the proposed schedules just have more, shorter breaks, instead of summer, winter, and spring breaks.

He's talking about no long summer vacation, instead several shorter breaks after each quarter.

I would rather have more, shorter breaks. I forget everything after three months. Good thing this last year seeing as I didn't learn anything half interesting outside of science that I already haven't forgot. xD

Three months is nice, if you have stuff to do. If not, it sucks.

Agreed. Year-round school seems like it would better fit me. After summer vacation, I go back to school to find I've forgotten everything.

I would hate to have year-round school. Not because I hate school a lot, but because I would need a break from school for 3 months even though I get out in 3 weeks...

Why not?

You get the exact same amount of break, you forget less, and you don't get ridiculously bored after three months of nothingness.

the summer was originally established for kids who lived on farms and needed to help.

but now it is pointless. Americans are not the smartest country but we seem to be doing alright...

I have year round school, with just two two week breaks and one day for spring break. But I get a bachelors degree much faster.

Well It's from June to August but it ends up being two months and two weeks and because I'm to lazy to check your profile where is here exactly =P
