... you all know what death penalty is (hohoho!), but do you also know what your opinion to death penalty is?

Oh well, my opinion comes first obviously, but first of all i want to kill a wrong reasoning in many of your heads:
Prisoners need something to eat and drink, of course, and all of you think now 'why not just killing this guy, he maybe killed someone and now he eats our food and drinks our water!' Well guys, prisoners work, so they dont cost us somethin, they kinda help uz, one them helps generally more than one of you, kk? Dont let me hear kill that guy, the money he'd cost could be mine!
Oh well my opinion... kill that prisoners. What said Ghandi? Eye for eye and the world is blind. Lol funny! I mean, how dare he to tell such a nonsense? Doesnt matter. Why not a beautiful list for my clever arguments?

The murderer hurts also the friends, the family of the victim. And whooops, a friend or a relative takes revenge! Lolol, we have another young murderer, oh dear... Why not just go let the magistrate decide what happens? Ouch! Big story. Also the murderer dies, and really no one wanted to get killed.
Well well, the murderer should get killed officially by a deathsman or even one relative or friend of the victim if he wants, then everyone had his revenge and hey, who wants to take revenge then? All not (enough) reasoned acts of revenge means for the man who has taken revenge the death, punto. And the next day pasts away as if nothing had happen...
Oh and yes, sry for my english dudes :P I hold my opinion basically, i will define it clearlier after some opinions with celver arguments will appear (and contra-arguments for the my basically hold opinion, lets see if you think something is already at beginnin stupid :P)
Well we discussed this in our class... Here this are my two opinions..
1.I AGREE, Because many people will do crime's if you dont scare them with the so called "Death penalty" and i think its nice to reduce our popularity...
2.I DISAGREE because everyone should have a second chance...and who might know you may just arrested the wrong guy right?

Instead of this 'second chance for everyone', there should be a school subject for making clear that a murder is one of the most horrible things in this world, and so the results. I mean, teachers of this subject have to do everything to thorw their silly ideas and plans that could get cause a murder (also underliberate) out of their head. This should lessen the murders a little, and the death penalty. The second chance then would be to much i think.
kk, it doesnt have to be a school subject, just that the police visits classes like 4 times a year* and tries to make them believe murdering (and getting death penalty) are simply horrible.

Murderers may be deplorable, that certainly does not mean I am supporting capital punishment. You must consider that if murdering someone results in you being murdered then whomever sentenced the murderer to death should be murdered too. Another point you could make is how moral is it? Regardless of the criminal's acts, they still have families, emotions - they're still humans. How right is it really to take a humans life?
I'll admit what I said earlier in the thread was a little harsh. But I do think that the current prison system in many countries IS NOT working and so capital punishment may be the way forward.

You think rehabilitation works for everybody and every crime? it doesn't. I also think those with mental health issues such as being a psychopath or sociopath should still face the death penalty. And at any rate - community service for murder? think about that - you are placing dangerous people amongst normal people possibly with sharp objects - not a good idea.
3-a death penalty is like you desisted from a person, I dont think we should "delete" the person that has made a crime, this person should receive an special treatment and turn into a normal person.
There really is no such thing as a normal person, society makes it's little bubble around all of the desireables and excludes everyone else, but aside from my little rant right there, not everyone can be made "normal", you can tame an animal, but it's still a wild animal, it can still kill you.
4-If you kill person, the person killed is not the only one who is going to suffer, all the person's family and friends are going to suffer too.
What about the people they harmed? I think the criminal's family would already be shamed enough,- or at least realize that even if he/she is related to them, they deserve their punishment- that they wouldn't much care if he/she is put to death.
5-OK, lets say we cant do a "erfect world" with special treatment for every person who has done something bad, then a death penalty still wouldn't be used, the person could just do communitary service, or any kind of service, receiving only the necessary to live.
Ok, I agree that community service is a good idea, but we're still dealing with a dangerous animal here, unless in a "erfect world" the criminal would be fully... "fixed", it it were.
If it's immoral on the grounds of killing someone is immoral, I would sincerely like to know your opinions of moral, or deserved punishment.
Severe punishment is immoral, giving another human immense pain is immoral in all senses.. Jails are immoral, but people prefer jails to the death penalty because they think it is less immoral.
Morals have all but left the human mind in recent years. It doesn't matter what people think, there will be immoral behaviour all the time.
I believe that Death Penalty is necessary in some cases. if you murdder someones entire family what gives you the right to live? If someone murdered your entire family you wouldnt like that would you? Then why do that to someone else? Also their are other strict rules in some places as in getting your hand cut off if caught stealing.
I think that it should be like "an eye for an eye" like any murder(intentional) should have a death penalty, and sex offenders should have a life sentence.
