I swear to god, all of you grammar loving people need to stop! If you can read it, shut up about it. Do you know how sick I am of people making posts simply to point out how many errors someone else made in there post? If you understood what they where saying, it dosen't matter! And for christ sake Grammar nazi? Really? Really? Think about what your calling your self. You have permission to go slam your head in the door for that one. It makes no sense while were on the matter. Nazis where taught that jews were bad, and they shoud kill them. They where kept uneducated by the government so they could be controlled better. So it makes no sense.

Back to what I was saying. I can tell, that at least one person will sit here, pick my rant apart, and find a page worth of grammar/spelling errors, then post them, and think there smart. But that will only further my point of how terrible of a thing it is. Your not adding anything to the conversation by doing so, and how many times has it helped someone understand the above post?

Person 1: "Yeah well i sorta dont want do anything right now even though im really bored."

Person 2: "GRAMMAR NAZI!!!! Yeah, well I sort of don't want to do anything right now, even though I'm bored."

person 3: "O, thanks man! I didn't know what he was saying untill you awesome grammar nazis came along!"

See? That never happens. Ever. Your not doing anything good for anyone, other then taking up space, and annoying the heck out of alot of people. This isn't english class ok? So kindly, unless you can't read whats being said, don't post for the soul sake of fixing it.

So what are your views on this? How often do you see unneeded comments by these "grammar nazis"? How often do you see "grammar nazis" Spell grammar with an e? Just say what you feel on the matter. I would aslo like to hear from a few "grammar nazis" And see what you think the point of doing it is?

Grammar makes the conversation cleaner, more refined, and more intelligent. Have you ever seen a good novel in which, besides the character's dialogue, the author uses horrible grammar? I think not. It doesn't happen. Without proper grammar, our language just amounts to a joke.

Agreed. There's no need to discuss a grammer error in a good proper discussion. Just like with typo's. Compare to talking, and you see, that you don't bother someone who's speaking either if he stumbles on his tonque.

There's no need or point in pointing out someone's grammar error. What does that help the world, or someone?

You're practically saying that grammar is more important than content? You prefer an idiot writing &quoterfect" crap? Or would you prefer someone who makes sense but writes pretty "bad"?

"English does not borrow words from other languages. They knock them out in a back alley and empty their pockets for loose words".

Teacher of mine used his Ph.d as material for one of our classes. I doubt I have ever seen a work so filled with spelling errors as that, but he is the one with the Ph.d.

As someone not native to the English language, I will say that the grammar in that language make me want to choke on a pencil more often than not. It is a headache to learn, and as long as it is understandable grammatically, I see no reason to try and correct people that does not ask for it.

The spelling errors is another point, but not a point that grammar nazis should even care about. Because spelling is not grammar.

And yes, I am fully aware that as a title, it would most likely be "Grammar Nazis", but I don't care to go back and change it.

Okay... this is ironic. The title and what you're saying. If you do have horrible grammar, some people will think you're stupid. Besides, dOsEnT WRiTing LiKE ThiS Ann0y U?

I notice one of the arguments against people pointing out proper grammar was that it didn't contribute to the thread at large. How does what you said contribute to the thread, dacer? Also, when I point out grammatical errors, I also say something that contributes to the thread. The grammar fixing is just a side job.
